Hotel Preciados Madrid  

Stayed at the Preciados for three nights with my wife. Amazing location near Gran Via. Restaurants everywhere outside the front door, but the hotel restaurant is good enough. Check in and service was effortless and so fast. Loved the free mini bar and wifi that worked !. Ordered coffees in the room and they arrived within three minutes ! Beautiful decor, rooms are compact but have everything. Parked my car in the basement carpark and whenever i needed it, it appeared outside the hotel. Can't recommend highly enough. Will be back .

The hotel is centrally located in the very centre of Madrid near metro and bus stops and at walking distance to all major sights. The service was good and the staff were friendly. I had a room facing a small lightwell so no views but the room was very quiet. - and also clean. It was a small single room but well and practically laid out. I did not have a meal at the hotel so cannot comment on the restaurant downstairs. Good value for money - would book again.

We spent a long weekend - (3 nights) at Hotel Preciados and confirm most of the praise already written in other reviews. Reception staff were knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions and were happy to share this with guests, taking the trouble to book taxis and tables for people who had enough of aimlessly wandering through the impressive and lively streets of Madrid. We ate at the hotel on one of the nights and the food was good with a reasonably priced wine list - beware the starters - they're huge! Our standard room was spotless and nicely decorated with a well appointed bathroom. The view wasn't great, but we didn't really expect it to be - anything other than a street view would have exceeded our expectations. Overall, a lovely hotel with friendly staff and great facilities (did I mention the free mini bar?) We will come back to Madrid as there was so much to do that we couldn't cram everything into the 3 days; when we do, we will return to Hotel Preciados.

Had a very pleasant stay in Preciados hotel. Location is central and the personnel very helpful. Will stay in this hotel again

Pros: Decor was impeccable; room was clean, spacious, and lovely. the staff was very friendly and spoke both spanish and english.
Cons: Ignore the recommendations from the staff. they recommended both a terrible restaurant and also a terrible place to get a massage.

Pros: I stayed at this hotel several years ago, with my wife, and loved it. we had a great room and were very impressed.
Cons: This time, i was alone and had a room with no real window. the room did have a window that opened up onto an enclosed interior stairwell. three nights, without a window. this information should have been disclosed, by both the hotel and website providor, prior to my bookinig. i never would have booked this room. never, in 30 years of travelling have i had a room without a window. come on, this was not professional. do you get the feeling that i was really unhappy.

Cons: Didn't like the banging noise of the decorative 'balls' in the stairwell at nightime.

Pros: Staff could not have been more helpful. excellent location, walked everywhere.

Pros: We were very pleased with everthing, very efficiant, pleasant staff, food exellent,also cleanliness, and location, we had a problem with one of the beds, the room was changed for us with no fuss, we had three rooms, six of us, relations meeting up.
