International Lodge Mackay  

Although qone of the older motels in Mackay, the International is well positioned , clean and spacious. It has undergone refurbishment and it has been done tastefully. The operators are friendly and accommodating. I would be more than happy to stay there again.

This motel is in a very central location, a short walk from cafes and the Caneland shopping centre. the car park out the front does not have enough spaces but there is adequate parking in the middle of the road at the front. . Unfortunately the evacuation alarm at the large hotel next door went off late at night which caused broken sleep. otherwise it is a fairly quiet location at night.

Pros: It was good to be able to find a motel in the centre of the city instead of having to pay big prices and waiting around for ages to catch a taxi. so convenient. cheers david.

Cons: Room too small, and there is no guest launder facility in this hotel

Pros: Very convenient to town, clean, well appointed.
Cons: The worlds smallest bathroom - i'm not kidding, you have to turn sideways to get between the sink and the door to get to the toilet :)

Cons: The room was not serviced during my stay.
the published breakfast was inadequate. no butter for the toast, no plates for the fruit.

Pros: Hotel was centrally located for my purposes, close to restaurants and the staff were very friendly and happy to assist.
Cons: The room had very few power outlets that were usable, there were 2 in the bathroom and 2 against the far wall but to use my laptop on power was very difficult and there is no desk in the room so very difficult for business person to work.
it was quite a warm day - it would have been nice if the air conditioner in the room could have been turned on.
