"very good trip in a typical guest house"

Positives : good breakfast and super service friendly. possibility to leave our luggages on arrival before check-in and after check-out. ideal for walking 2 more days without luggage. Very comfortable room (twin room). location of this hotel. excellent. really next to two beautiful parks. at 2 minutes from 2 subway lines and buses. quick access (and very touristy) to downtown.negatives : housed in the second building. even if it is not far from the main, be forced to dress and take her bag to go to breakfast is not very practical. but not a really problem in spring. noise. the window didn't have double glazing. but fatigue had greatly helped. on three nights at this hotel, only the first was difficult because of noise.I will return.very good trip in a typical guest house.

"I reccomend this hotel"

I really reccomend this hotel: the position is good (near the tube, restaurants, small supermarkets). It's located in a quite area. My room, a single room (room 322) was on the 2nd floor in a separate building, 1-2 minutes walking from the main building. It was quite, but the walls are not really soundproof. You can hear the guests in the other rooms.The room was clean, towels changed every day, there is the carpet (I don't like it, it's not hygienical) but it seemed to be clean. The bathroom is small but clean as well. Continental breakfast included (from 7:30 am to 10am). The breakfast room (in the main building) is small, sometimes there was the queue but it depends at what time you decide to have breakfast. And above all there is wifi and it's free of charge! I've chosen to book this hotel after reading several positive comments on the web, and after being there I confirm it's a good hotel! It was my first time in London (I don't know the other hotels) but I really appreciated this one.

pretty good hotel for a short stay. convenient location close to Paddington and tube station.Staff ready to help for any reasonable request.Family room is located at the top of the building i.e. >100 steps to get there!We'll keep in our book for future journeys.

"nice place to stay for short break/citytrip to London"

Room was om top floor in another building near the hotel. room was small but complete and clean and warm. helpfull and friendly staff. underground station nearby. breakfast was good (we did not use the service of English breakfast for 6 pounds extra).

It's a good hotel, with a very good location close to Hide Park and not far from the centre. People who work there are very kind and helpfull. The rooms are small but very clean and with everything you can need.

"A solid choice for the budget conscious visitor to London"

Set in the middle of a thriving small hotel area of London, very close to Paddington station and Hyde Park and within easy walk (15 minutes) of Oxford Street this hotel is a prime location. Rooms are on the small side as with all similar hotels in the area, but you wouldn't book such a facility if hanging out in the room was your principle plan. Very helpful staff and some good banter with the owner each morning at breakfast. If you don't want to spend too much on accomodation but want to be centrally located and close to a major railway station you can't go wrong here.

"Great location, good price"

We stayed at Rhodes for 3 nights and generally found it to be quite satisfactory. The room was in a great central location, small, but modern and clean. Service was good and the room was made down daily without issue. Breakfast was simple but quite good. The only problem we had was Wifi access. Our room was downstairs, an wifi was patchy at best. Unfortunately reception was less than helpful dealing with this. Wifi was quite important for us and this issue reduced our rating from a 5 to a 4.

"Good value for money!"

The location is very good, with Lancaster Gate tube station and Paddington Train Station just a short walk away. The room (in the annex building) was very new and quiet. The bathroom was big enough, very modern and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the place!

"Excellent room, very clean"

I am really surprised this hotel only has two stars, as I have stayed in three star hotels with poorer quality bedrooms. The room I stayed in certainly deserved a better rating, although I didn't see much of the communal areas.

"This hotel does what it says on the tin"

Quirky describes this hotel quite well. Excellent location, 15 mins walk to main shops on oxford street, hyde park is just around the corner. Very quiet location. en-suite was very small but clean and served its purpose.

"Hotel staffs were kind, the location was quiet and very very good to be..."

Pros: Hotel staffs were kind, the location was quiet and very very good to be around d city. tube and bus station were very near and little restaurants were just around. bathroom has a nice shower with massage system and lights are brilliant.
Cons: The room was 1st floor and the window faced wall, no view, tiny room and service person shared my new creams (be careful) which became almost empty. to have stayed one week i felt suffocated.

"Really friendly and helpful staff"

Pros: Really friendly and helpful staff. the dining facilities were cramped but breakfast was excellent. the room was extremely small but very clean and well kept. the location was handy for paddington station allowing easy access to central london.
Cons: Room was very small and buried in the basement so no fresh air or natural light.
