Cons: Two different poor experiences - one in the "pub" bar and one in the hotel bar. when ordering a bottle of white wine, neither bar offered an ice bucket. when i asked for an ice bucket in the pub bar the you bar maid filled it to overflowing. also, nobody cleared the table after i'd eaten. eventually, i cleared it myself as it was becoming embarrassing in front of my guest.

and in in the hotel bar the bar man initially only put ice in it; no water (i.e. ineffective). when i informed him it needed water also, he poured some in from a used pint glass from a tray of returned empties ! as i was with an important business guest i felt i couldn't make a fuss at the time. but i do hope that this information will be fed back to the hotel and to the staff in question.
