The Cromwell Crown Hotel London    

I was pleased from my stay in the hotel, the staff and the conditions were excellent. I can give only positive feedback. The only one thing which spoiled it was not the best WiFi connection. I had to do some work requiring internet during my visit, and because of that I had to spend a lot of time in the Starbucks cafe, instead to work in comfort at the hotel.

I booked a single bed for GBP 39 per day for two nights. When I reached hotel, I found that repair work was still on and my room was small. When I entered my room, the fire alarm went on and started giving some noise. However, I got my room changed on my request to double bed room. The new room was good and quite ok. It was on third floor with a view of cromwell. road. I would like to mention here that in such rates, the location is ideal. Its only a few minutes from nearest tube station with all the museums in its vicinity. Go for room on third floor and book double bed, even if you're going there alone. I am quite sure that after repair work, this hotel will have better interior. Till that time, guests might have to demonstrate some pateience! :-)

the room i stayed in was old and the matress was depressed and caused me back ache the next morning. the website doesnt reflect the real deal. my room was also very small. it was iike a prison cell

We stayed in the hotel for three nights. The room was ok (it was really huge, but there were no furnitures except a bed and a cupboard, therefore there was really much unused space), the en-suite bathroom was really great (it seemed to be really new). The room was cleaned every day, which was really fine. But outside the room, in the hallways, the hotel was a little bit scraby. A big problem for us, was that the room was very noisy. We were located directly next to the door that leads to the stairway. People used this door very often and everytime it was used it was really loud. Moreover, we were located in the 5th floor, which was bad, since the lift hardly works...The Location of the hotel is great: subway (5 min walk) and Sainsbury (1 min walk) are really close

It is under construction and workers still work in the hotel so sometimes you may hear some noises. The reception and entrance may look shabby but rooms were cleaned and cozy. they have tried their best to give the best services but i think they are a little unexperienced.

Pros: Wifi worked well
Cons: The room had inscets all over the place, got woken up by renovators at 7am, woke up itchy and uncomfortable from the beds, the toilet was dirty and mouldy with no fan or ventilation

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, good location near gloucester road tube and sainsburys.
Cons: No milk sachets in the room, the tea was so old that it disintegrated in the cup, so we bought our own tea/milk.
no hot water in the shower, despite the plumber coming twice.

Pros: First, we got a room in the basement, which was one of the worst hotel rooms i have ever seen, but when we confronted the hotel staff, we got a new room. the new room was perfect. i really enjoyed my stay.
Cons: The first room we got! it was dirty and in bad condition (carpet was taped together, mirror was broken etc). worst of all was the mould; both the room and the bathroom was mouldy and the smell of it was unbearable - especially if you got asthma. but as said before, the new room we got was perfect.

Pros: The hotel is near a metro station.
Cons: The website portrays a nice, clean hotel; however, the hotel is run-down. our room was scary to sleep in, questionable safety and cleaniness concerns. the website is mis-leading. very poor hotel. do not stay regardless of the price!

Pros: Clean and comfortable.
Cons: Heating doesn't work.

Pros: Good value for those on a budget
Cons: No tea/coffee making facilities in room, although advertised on website

Pros: The only positive thing about this hotel is the location and the clean sheets. that's it!!!

firstly the pictures on the site have nothing to do with reality, not even close. as you walk in the reception area of this hotel it's unwelcoming and cold atmosphere. the decor is outdated and very scruffy. a couple of chairs and and an old wooden chipped dirty table. it's a joke. as soon as i walked i dreaded seeing the bedroom. the staff were quite friendly i guess. the way we had to check in so hard work as well, millions of things to sign in old books with pens. am i wrong in saying, it's 2011 why are we still writing our names in an old book and signing when we have already booked online and old the details should be uploaded already on a computer system??? the corridors were a joke as well. old dated, scruffy disgusting carpet. walls were dirty and paint was coming off everywhere. no pictures or anything, disgusting and unwelcoming. on the ground floor there was a toilet for everyine i guess, don't even get me started on the smell as you walk past. lock on bedroom didn't work properly and had to play around with it for ages. the bedroom was very small, crammed and unwelcoming. the room was cold, the tv was laughable. it stated on webiste all rooms with tea and coffee making facilities and satellite tv. clearly untrue!!! there was no tea and coffe making facilities at all, and the tv hardly even worked, the picture was terrible and the only kind of watchable channels were too. couldn't be further away from satellite tv. can' believe how misleading the pictures and the information was. when asked reception where the tea and coffee was, we were told that we don't get any becauce we have booked the economy room when on the site it stated clearly tea and coffe making facilities in all rooms. the bathroom was uninviting and made me wonder if i will be cleaner if i didn't have a shower in it. the rooms arrangement made it very difficult to walk around since there were two of us. there was a chair, a desk (possibly meant to be a dressing table) which was impossible to use since it was blocked by a single bed, double bed and a wardrobe in the strangest arrangement i have ever seen. i the carpet was in terrible condition, the sheets were clean though which is always a good thing, the curtains were old and scruffy, and the duvet cover very otdated. the heating didn't work was the room was freezing. i think i have covered pretty much everything. let me finish by saying this is the worst hotel, i have every been in, seen, heard of and most definately will never ever ever use again.

Pros: The room small but clean and no noise
Cons: We just used the room for sleeping , we were out most of the time

Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Room was not very nice. it was the first time when i had to visit the room and then confirm that i accept it.
