 "my unpleasant stay at Albany hotel"
This was my last stay (18 to 21 April 2012) at this hotel it was terrible I doubt if I will ever use it again. my family and my company will definitely not use it again because of my experience. I will discourage anyone I know from using Albany hotel. I reported the matter but nothing was done about it.. My room was not cleaned properly the person who cleaned it left dirt tissue papers on the bed that she used to remove her tutex, the glass that i left in the morning with water (i used it to clean my mouth) was still there on my arrival in the afternoon. the room was very untidy.RegardsPhilile Lobese

 "Best accomodation for the Comrades Marathon Runner."
I stayed in Hotel Albany when I was in Durban to participate in Comradres marathon 2012. It was very close to the finish line, hence very convenient. I had stayed with my parents and a friend. Since we are pure vegetarian, the chef in the hotel arranged special vegetarian Indian food for us. Yvonne, arranged special safari tour, sakaland visit and Durban city tour for us, which was wonderful. All the staff members were very friendly. I never felt I was out of my country. I will always stay in Albany, whenever I will visit Durban in future.

Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. the food was great and the rooms are well maintained.
Cons: The water was not warm enough when i was taking a bath or a shower
