"Hip hotel on the perimeter of Old Town"

I had a nice stay at MOODs. The hotel itself is very hip and has a cozy, boutique feel. Also, most of the staff were very nice and helpful and the included breakfast was superb. The room was more spacious than I had anticipated. While not in the heart of the Old Town, MOODs is fairly close, a mere brisk 10-15 minute walk to the city center. I did not mind this because there were some cute non-touristy shops in the vicinity and a great little gym that was very cheap and seemingly authentically Czech (no one spoke English!). The latter was a nice contrast to the throngs of English-speaking tourists in the busier parts of the city. My only criticisms of my stay was that my room was never really cool enough. I raised this concern twice and the staff responded that "it takes a few hours for the cooling system to kick in once the room key has been inserted". I responded that it remained uncomfortable 6 hours later in the middle of the night and the young woman I conveyed this to the second time seemed annoyed. She did make a note of it in a book and said a repair person would take a look. The following night was maybe a little better, but not significantly so. Also, my room was on the ground floor and around the corner from the bar/breakfast area. At night, loud dance music was played until fairly late (after midnight), which I only minded the last night when I was trying to catch some sleep before an early morning departure. These 2 minor complaints really did not mar the enjoyment of my visit and I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to friends and family. I loved my stay in Prague and MOODs contributed to a great experience!

"Very good hotel"

We've sayed at the MOODs for 3 nights. Almost everything was very good (room, bath, breakfast, location, etc), except two things:1. the bed was to hard for me/us2. the room is not soundproofed, you could here quite a lot of noises from inside the hotel

"What i really enjoyed was the sumptous buffet spread and the excellent..."

Pros: What i really enjoyed was the sumptous buffet spread and the excellent coffee including the latte! the bed is really comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: The standard room size is a little cramped for our comfort. the only small improvement that can be made is the design of the cabinet that houses the kettle. once you boil water, u are not able to walk easily past the aisle and can be quite tricky. simple carpentry solution - to simple ensure the door can be "slided" in.
