 "Grand Hotel Minerva Florence"
A fabulous hotel close to the train station and situated in the Piaza Santa Maria Novella.Before our stay i had to e mail the hotel with a couple of enquiries, the response was courteous and quick with the hotel ensuring our trip was stress free. On arrival to departure there was absolutely nothing i would say could have been better. The views over Florence from the roof top pool are magnificent, we will remember them forever.If we ever return to Florence this will be the first choice hotel, a real gem!

 "A wonderful stay"
The Grand Hotel Minerva is a wonderful base for exploring beautiful Florence. It is excellently situated at the edge of the centre on the reasonably quiet Piazza Santa Maria Novella - with a sense of being slightly removed from the main hub something which I prefer at the end of a crowd filled day - but is only an easy 5 - 10 minute stroll to the Duomo or down to the river. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, freshly decorated and cleaned to a high standard every day by the excellent housekeeping team. The breakfast was good with a range of options served in a pleasant and bright dining room. I did not sample dinner unfortunately so cannot comment on that but the menu sounded appealing.Some family are now planning a trip to Florence and I am recommending that they also choose the Grand Hotel Minerva as their base. I would certainly stay there again on a return visit.

 "Good location"
Pros: Good location.near to train and bus stations.nice outlook onto square.quiet at night,plenty of restaurants nearby although hotel restaurant good.hotel square seemrd safe-plenty of police presence.
Cons: Standard room was small along with bathroom which was minute.

The Restaurant I Chiostri offers the best of the Italian and Tuscan cuisine, complemented by the personal touch of the Chef. It is closed on Sundays.
