two nights booked for one single person. Ridiculous room (5/6 squared meters) located in front of road with a non closing window...linen and towels not changed the second night....breakfast with instant coffee and really cheap pastrees, and we must help ourselvesThis hotel must be absolutely avoided (231 £ for two nights.....)

 "My opinion on Old Friend B&B in London"
Hosts are not really communicative themselves, but they are very polite when you need any kind of help (for instance, they give you power adapter, hair dryer, etc.. if you ask). "Hotel" has a kitchen in which you make your own breakfast, you can eat as much food as you like, and breakfast is actually the best thing about this accommodation. You can choose between toasts, marmalade, butter, eggs (you boil them or fry them on the pan), butter croissants, orange juice, apple juice, milk, cereals, some delicious Nutella copy, coffee, tea, and cookies. I give them A+ for breakfast :) However, I got a mini heart-attack when I realized sheets were half dirty, I really don't think they had washed them since previous visitors were there :/ I had read something about that earlier on this website, so I equipped myself with my own pillow cloth and towel. I suggest everyone to do that as well. Carpets weren't cleaned at all, but that was really nothing comparing to the sheets! Shared bathroom was really clean, I have nothing to say against it. There's a bus station immediately in front of the hotel, and tube station is about 10 minutes of normal walk from the hotel. Location is, therefore, acceptable. To sum up, I hated the room, everything else was fine.

 "Avoid The Old Friend"
This is not a real hotel. Everything is awfull and falling apart. It is dirty everywhere, broken and crumpling. It's way too expensive. And then they add 5 pct. if you pay with a normal credit card. The socalled included breakfast is an insult.

Could be cleaned a bit more especially around the bed side cabinets from used tissues and perhaps a small table where one can put stuff on instead on the floor and couple more hanging hooks.

 "The staff was very nice and helpful"
Pros: The staff was very nice and helpful. they have a covered outdoor area to sit outside. it was located in an ethnically diverse area so it was interesting. the price is low so it is affordable but is an old building and needs renovation.
Cons: Due to the bed and breakfast style hotel, the heat/temperature in the rooms cannot be adjusted by the guest. also, if you plan to get to/from the airport or an event on sunday, be advised that the underground trains do not run a 24 hour service and have limited hours of operation on sunday. i had a very difficult time getting to the airport and missed my flight because the hotel staff was uninformed of the public transportation schedule. airport shuttles do not service that area, they only service central london hotels so a taxi or public transportation is the only option.
