Horrendous!. A rude receptionist who complains about people going out too much as he has to unlock the door. No locks on bathrooms, stairs noisy so you get accused of disturbing people! Never stay here.

The hotel is locted in paddington about 4 minute walk to Paddington station and to Lancaster gate underground station. There are lots of shops, cafes, bars in the area with good transport links to and from, around London. Not forgetting the national trains leaving from London paddington to the West country and to Oxford.I stayed for two nights whilst on a business trip. The staff were professional and freindly, helpful. The two rooms I styed in had single bed with a very basic shower, T.V. The room was dusty, not dirty, yet very basic but needs to be decorated more. I used the shared showers which provided hot water and were clean, maintain well. The frist room I stayed in on the lower ground was very cold, dark with a unwelcome four legged visitor, at night looking for food. Which I am sure the hotel will sort out now they no.However due to the dislike to that room, for the reasons above, I was moved to a different room which was much more warm, bright with no creatures.

Never ever ever again!!!!The have to renovation clean(dust) ,paint,isaltion all the rooms and the hotel also!I don,t understand that thay can represent there self like a 2 star hotel!Better they can call them self a hostel!!!

i would not recommend this very cheap but you get what you pay for small single bed room the worst part is my visa card number was used all over london after using it to check in here be careful took me a while to get my monet back on visa

Good service, good location but the room was not very nice, very worn down and the beds felt like they should have been replaced a long time ago. The breakfast was rather poor, not what one would expect in the UK.

Location, location! Despite a very small room and even smaller bath, the location near the tube was great as was the parking in front of the hotel. No lift and four flights of stairs so small carry on luggage only. Continental breakfast adequate. Staff helpful and kind.

Cheap hotel, but the room and the shower are not clean. Moreover, the breakfast was tiny (only orange juice and bread....). I won't book again this hotel.

Rooms are tiny with one single bed. No room to move around let alone put a suitcase (which is difficult to navigate up narrow, winding staircases). The shower is cold with no water pressure to speak of. There is one toilet for about 6 rooms, which does not flush properly.

The only possitive at this hotel is that's near a underground station . The rooms are small, no toilet on the room and the shower is not something that you directly want to use.The breakfast was very poor, and the sandwiches where dry. Not possilbe to take extra juice.Also the cleanliness could much better and the stayway was a really danger. If there should be a fire in this hotel, you will never get out, unless you stay on teh 1ste floor.I would not recommend this hotel to no one.

Great location: very close to Paddington station (one of the main underground stations) so you can go easily anywhere.Hotel: This is a very modest hotel, I would say it is a motel; it has no elevator, the building is very old. My reservation said "breakfast included", that means only toast, jam, cofee/tea and juice. Some of the rooms are shower only so the toilet is outside common to floor sharing with other rooms. It is good tha they have a kettle in room but when I ran out of cofee, service didn't refill it.

The location was good with less than a five minute walk to the tube station. However the hotel was old and could do with some retouches. Not recommended for a family or longterm stay, but considering value for friends/business it might be an okay stay.Friendly staff though!

So looking for a cheap hotel down London I was not expecting much in the first place. There were a few things that let it down for me though. The first being hygiene. There were towels in the room that had not been taken away and washed despite them sitting in the shower which is what the sign asked for. Also the carpet around the shower was all wet but considering the layout I dont think the hotel could of done much about this but it still was not pleasant. On the plus side the hotel was easy to find and was located in a very nice area around Paddington station so all of London was acessable from there. The staff were all friendly enough but I felt awkward about leaving my bag in the room considering there was no safe in the room and the hotel ask you to hand in your key before heading out anywhere.

The staff were very helpful and guided us to catch the right buses and arrive on time to the according destinations. The breakfast was quite bare and the room was pretty small with no proper barriers for shower and toilet. It was pretty cosy and convenient as its position was reachable on foot from everywhere.

we were made welcome from the minute we walked through the door staff were fantastic with us nothing was a trouble the sheets on the beds were extremly white yes the rooms are small but in fairness you only sleep there we didnt have a problem with that anyone who complains are pretty petty and dont have the right attitude we made good friends and enjoyed every bit of our time there it is perfect for central london a five minute walk to the tube and we cant wait to go back next year it was very well priced i would just remind people planing ther stay there buildings in london are very old so allow for that

The good things: The hotel is located in Paddington at Sussex Gardens which is a more silent and beatiful street thanother streets in the neighborhood. It is very close to a lot of restaurants and pubs. The hotel is located between the two tube stations Paddington and Bayswater. It is also close to a l ot of local bus stops. This means it is very simple to move around in London in a cheap way. A tips is to buy a "Oystercard" in the tube when you get to London. This is a refill-card which you can use to travel on bus, tube and also some boats on the Thames.THe bad things: Our room was located in the basement or shall i say cellar which we wasn´t informed of when we booked it. This in combination with a very poor ventilation system made the atmosphere bad in the room, expecially in the bathroom. Probably was the fan in the bathroom very bad but it is very strange that the manegement hadn't get it fixed. We were able to open one window which made the situation better.

The location is fantastic. But there is no lift in this hotel. The room I booked have a basin & shower but no toilet. This is awkward. Apart from it, the bed is comfy and the room is equipped with kettle and LCD.

Good easily accessible location. Surprisingly quiet. Make sure you're fit and ready to negotiate narrow stairs as is the norm in London. I had a share bathroom but never had to wait to access it. Breakfast of juice, cheese, tea and toast was perfectly adequate. I'd recommend it to others and I'd stay again.

We had complain by the hotel also. This was a horrible stay. We have upgraded for a room with toilet on the room and payed 179 euro foor two nights, this is not cheap. We had the idea that we are downgraded. Are room was next to the breakfastroom, from 7.00 am was breakfast and also with that slamming with the door, nobody from the staff do something about this so we cant sleep. Are neighbours are very loudness, we had payed a lot but didn't sleep. It should be a pleasant trip but it wasn't, We expected not the best hotel for this money but this was very awfull, The room wasn't very good, we can't stand in the shower because the sealing was very low. We couldn't stand up. I won't recomended this hotel to anybody ever!!!

Great location, friendly service, clean. We had two single rooms on top floor, one with shower cabin, one with shared facility, - shared facilities are recommended. No traffic noise at all, some noise from staircase however. In the better part of London two-star hotels.

During our descent, we should move into a room in the basement without windows and with an unclean bathroom. On demand, we received a new room. The buffet was insufficient. Eat very little choice at the breakfast buffet. The rooms were small and the bathrooms tiny.
