The Old Post Office is an excellent choice for those looking for a quiet and charming Guest House in Iceland. It is located in the small town of Grundarfjörður which is near a gorgeous mountain range, a large fjord and alpine scenery. The area is so outstanding and beautiful that you will find yourself just staring out at your surroundings from the hotel. This is a perfect place to spend your days hiking as there are numerous trails in the area. You can also try other outdoor activities including horseback riding, hunting, riding motorcycles, fishing and golf. You can also stroll through the quiet and sleepy town to get to know the locals. After a busy day, you can return to the Old Post Office for a relaxing evening. You can prepare a meal in the communal kitchen, get to know the other guests, sip on a glass of wine or a cup of tea and spend the rest of the evening reading a book. You will feel very refreshed for another day of exploration.
