 "Short stay in New York"
We had only a short time in New York and stayed at Distrikt Hotel the staff were very helpful and the room was really lovely quite a good sized room as we have stayed in New york before and had a very small room. The breakfast was I thought good value for money and if you had the continental breakfast there was quite a selection to choose from. The rooms were very clean and service was good. This Hotel is situated quite well for Times Square 5th Avenue, Grand central Station and of course the Empire State Building so very central. We had a lovely stay and i am returning with a friend of mine nxt September and staying at this Hotel again, Cant Wait!!!!!

 "My new go-to hotel"
I stayed at the Distrikt hotel for two nights after "adding" a few days in the city to a business trip in upstate New York. I selected Distrikt after reading online reviews and was not disappointed. While the location isn't very sexy, right next to Port Authority bus station, it is the perfect starting point for all walking tours in NYC, and very close to the metro as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, I love the guest computers in the lobby and the rooms are very clean and well equipped. The biggest surprise, however, was how quiet my room was! I was pleasantly shocked to discover that there was NO street noise whatsoever in my room (which was located on the second floor): A first for New York! I also liked that there are so few rooms per floor, which means hardly any noise from the hallway. While the rates were quite high for me, in comparison to other hotels I could have chosen, I'm glad I "upgraded" myself to Distrikt: Well worth the price, and I'll be back!

 "Best Hotel in Manhattan...By a Mile!"
1. Location: The location is simply perfect on 40th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue. It is right next to the Port Authority Bus Terminal. It is only 3 blocks from Times Square and 5 blocks from Macy’s, Madison Square Garden and all the shops on 5th Avenue…all within walking distance.Don’t be put off by the fact that there are 2 ‘seedy’ DVD stores and the NY Parole Office nearby as it is really safe. 2. The Hotel: It is not a huge hotel so each floor only contained 4 or 5 rooms so there was very little hallway noise. 3. The Room: The room was actually quite big by NYC standards with plenty of room to store a large suitcase and shopping bags. - Furnishings: The furnishings were modern, in great condition and the king sized bed was amazing. - TV: There is also a large flat screen TV with a large choice of channels to choose from! - Bathroom: The bathroom has a huge shower and the water pressure + temp were great. Great selection of Lather toiletries and the bathroom counter was spacious. - Tea & Coffee: In-room coffee and tea maker based on a pod or capsule system.- Cleanliness: The room was kept immaculately clean by the very friendly house-keeping staff.- Safe: There was an in room safe which is great if you have cash or valuables with you. 4. Lobby: The lobby isn’t huge but there is a seating area big enough for 6/8 people as wellas the bar and restaurant at the back. 5. Internet Access: There is free Wifi access in the hotel as well as 3 Mac computers in the lobby with free printing.6. Staff: The service of the staff was great. The front desk workers were all incredibly friendly as were the bell men. The bartender in the lounge is the best & gave me lots of tips (restaurants, places to go to, etc). 7. The little details: I really appreciated the turn-down service with a weather card for the next day and some delish dark chocolate every night. The NY Times in the morning was great too.Conclusion: I would not book anywhere else and will definitely stay here again when back in New York.
