 "noisy place"
If you want a restful evening in Berlin, do not stay at the A&O. Their website is deceptive in that it appears that the hotel is separate from the hostel. This is not the case. The hostel dominates and the lobby is filled with noisy young people which is ok if you are a noisy young person. however if you want to get a good night's rest you might have to do what we did. When the soft approach failed, we yelled at the man at the desk to move us to a quieter room. If you do stay there, be sure to get to breakfast early to miss the noisy crowds.

 "Brilliant for younger people, great location right near the new..."
Pros: Brilliant for younger people, great location right near the new hauptbanhof station and in walking distance of brandenburg gate, riechstag, etc. staff were friendly and i have no negatives to say about it!

Cons: The directions on the website on how to get there from the berlin hauptbahnhof is not very clear. it confused us, being non-berliners.
