 "Fantastic weekend away"
Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants quality for money and a very quiet weekend away with a fabulous view to gaze at! the hotel had many facilities including swimming pool and restaurants car parking,bike hire and much much more would come back any time.

 "Hotel Okura: Lovely, but expensive"
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Okura. The staff is friendly and helfpul; the room was lovely, functional, and comfortable. I managed to get a lower price through easytobook.com than the group rate offered by the hotel to the organization whose meeting I attended. While the price I got was lower, it was still very, very high. In other words, I love the hotel, but would have trouble justifying staying there again no matter who is paying.Minor nit: the view from the upstairs bar is lovely, but the seating is not conducive to comfortable conversation.

Pros: Excellant hotel with all the facilities. the restaurants a bit pricy but there are choices and the snacks in the bar are very reasonable so it does cater for all pockets.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, we got there early so they let us check in early. the deluxe room was just like the pictures. it was 20 mins away from dam, but it was nice loads of shops in the area
in the evening the cleaners give your room an extra clean
worth the money spend

Cons: It doesnt tell you that you have to pay a deposit for every night you stay

Pros: It is well located, city centre very accessible by bus. the view of the room was excellent. about the room, good dimension. nice room service. the japaneese restaurant was excellent.
Cons: Room would need to be refreshed as it looks a bit soiled. we had to claim once for the room to be cleaned. breakfast very expensive.

Pros: As the "old look" hotel in a suburb, with high price giving impression this hotel is for selected personalities.
Cons: "okura" as a brand in my opinion should bring "eastern smiles and services", but it is actually doing a strict business like hotels. the price is maybe one thing, but the way services is conducted is the most important that i don't think okura amsterdam successfuly achieve the excellent services as expected.
