 "Excellent value for money and lovely staff"
What a find, this place. I have never stayed in such a nice hotel/youth hostel. The room price was unbelievable, and the ensuite spacious triple room tasteful and comfy. Breakfast fine too. The only complaint would be about easytobook, who are not very straightforward about the city tax that you have to pay on top of the room price. It was almost hidden on the confirmation, and the hotel staff were irritated by this too, as many guests are confused about what they have to pay in the end.

 "Almost perfect price-quality balance"
The hostel is located very good - near subway station and not far from South Railway Station. It's easy to get to the center of Vienna and to other cities as well. The hostel's room I've stayed was not very spacious but enough for us as we spent nights only there. There was no noise by nights from young people as I'd read before. Maybe because of 6th floor of my room. No problem with cleaning - that's all right. No russian TV-channel and free Wi-Fi in the room - that's all why I give 4 of 5 for the service. Room window looked out to the street and it was noisу by mornings that disturbed us.Guys on reception always helped me with my question.

 "Bad quality"
We stayed in a room for 4 people. There was no proper ventilation in the room or in the corridors. The common kitchen was just in unusable condition. The common kitchen is in the basement and stinks bad. It is not possible to cook and eat in that kitchen.

The hotel is very close to the U-Bahn station (stop Keplerplatz), not too far from a tram stop and 3 stops away from the town centre.The room I had was very spacious and clean, with daily cleaning and supplied with towels and soap (no shampoo, but you can buy it from the hotel or nearby shops). Additional things such as hairdryers are available for free, but you must pay a deposit which will be returned when you checkout. The wifi is free of charge in the lobby and you can use it in the room if you pay a bit extra. The same goes for the buffet breakfast, which you can have for an extra 5 euros per person per day- you just add what you need/ want on top of the basic room rate.Considering how clean and big the rooms are and that the price of staying was more or less 25 per person per night, I strongly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!

i would suggest to publish on the web hotel's address because when i booked got address and instructions for columbus gasse 16 and when i reached hostel was there.i got hotel's location (rembrand strasse)from the receptionist and i spend another hour reach there.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful, the access card and lift systems were very new and the hostel room came with bedding and the towel was provided for free.
Cons: The bathroom had a very strong chemical smell.

Pros: Really clean rooms (better than i expected in a hostel), plus they gave me a free upgrade to a 5-person dorm from an 8-person dorm so i wouldn't have the last bed in a packed room. the breakfast was basic, but good -- selection of bread, cheese, yogurt, cereal.

Just across the tracks from Belvedere palace complex, MEININGER Hotel Vienna Main Station is close to Südbahnhof and is surrounded by shopping areas. Keplerplatz U-Bahn station is a few minutes’ walk from the hotel and connects via line 1 directly to Stephansdom, Michaelerplatz and Graben in the city centre, as well as to other lines for access to further attractions.

A new building offering three star accommodation and service, Main Station Hotel Meininger provides complimentary wireless internet access in the lobby and all public areas.
