Nearby is the former site of the Great Palace of Constantinople (Büyük Saray), which was the main royal residence of the Byzantine emperors from 330 to 1081; wall and floor mosaics from the palace are displayed in the Great Palace Mosaic Museum (Büyük Saray Mozaikleri Müzesi, often shortened to Mozaik Müzesi) near Arasta Bazaar. Blue Eye Suites is a 5 minute walk from a bus stop on the city-owned İETT system and a 10 minute walk from the Kumkapı train station on the Sirkeci-Halkalı suburban railway line.
