 "A Refreshing Change from Other Hotels and Great Value forMoney"
I moved to the B Ocean from another leading hotel on the beach when I decided to extend my stay in Fort Lauderdale. I liked the chilled out sophisticated atmosphere, minimalist design and personal service. While facilities cannot compete with some of its rival hotels along the beach, (pool area is small and dining and spa options limited), this hotel offers a refreshingly different alternative. You never get the feeling of being "ripped off" here as WiFi is free, the buffet breakfast at $16 is less than half the price of some of its competitors, and just as good, and the room rates are very reasonable for what you get, especially as they all have a panoramic view of the beach. My standard room was well-decorated, modern, spacious, with huge TV and a very comfortable kingsize bed. There was also plenty of storage space. My bathroom was smallish but well-appounted with lovely Aveda tolietries. Apparently they have many room types and, if mine was the most basic, the others must be fantastic. Soundproofing could have been better as hallways echo and you can hear doors slam. However it was a festival weekend and the hotel was 100% full. This hotel has to be the best value on Fort Lauderdale Beach and I highly recommend it.
