 "The best thing about hotel san rufino is the location"
Pros: The best thing about hotel san rufino is the location. right in the middle of the old town and in walking distance of all major sights. bus from train station stops fairly close, as well. the staff were very friendly, breakfast was very nice (continental usuals plus a few extras), and the room had a view to kill for. only two areas for improvement: make the breakfast be included in the price (not an extra amount per day as it is now), and work on the bathroom layout. our shower was in the middle of the floor between the toilet and sink. very awkward and impossible to keep rest of room from getting wet.

Pros: The proprietors were extremely accomodating even though we made it to assisi at 11.30pm. large room right in the center of town. best for more than one night stay. great 5 euro/per person breakfast.
Cons: Assisi is hard to find at night. the entrance to the town is literally walled off to outsiders. arrive during the day for best experience.
