A pleasant apartment hotel - clean and nice.because it is geared for families expect baby cry - room noise insulation not perfect.Beds can be improved.very convenient location - next to metro and main bus routes.

 "Great apartments, friendly and helpful staff, ideal location"
We were really happy with the apartments - they are spacious and clean and in a safe, quiet location with lots of amenities nearby (including a supermarket next door on one side and a patisserie on the other). The soundproofing wasn't great and the beds could have been a little more comfortable but overall a great stay at a reasonable price.

Decent location, quality and service, modest value for money. Not a bad stay, helpful staff, not too far from the main action, good quality 3 star, though BCN hotels are difficult to find with good value, and this place was the same.

Stayed here last week - the hotel is what you would expect from a 3* city centre apartment. On the plus side the service and all staff were very good , negatives were the location (bit of a walk to the 'centre' of the city) and the breakfast was poor.

Our stay in the hotel was very good. Everything was OK. The room was big and clean, the staff was friendly. It was a good location to see the touristic sites, we did almost everything by foot.

I didn't know what to expect from the combination Apartment and hotel. My experience after 4 days staying in Atenea, is very good! Atenea offers a good stay, enough place and enough facilities. Free wifi and free internet at the reception is also a big plus! I will recommend Atenea to everybody who will go to Barcelona. And Atenea will see me again!Till next time.Regards, Jaquba Lesteluhu

Pros: It was very nice to have a room with a kitchen, and it was indeed practical that there was a supermarket next to the hotel!
Cons: The waterpipes in the hotel were quite noisy, but that didn't bother me too much.

 "Great location, near to plenty of things and the "metro""
Pros: Great location, near to plenty of things and the "metro". supermarket wall to wall to the hotel is great! room with balcony and daily cleaning. just great!
Cons: No balcony furniture, no good table for eating, not much cooking applies so it was hard to cook food in the apartment. but this was only small disturbing things, the aparthotell is great!

Pros: This was an excellent choice. room was much bigger than expected. having cooking facilities including refrigerator was a plus. excellent breakfast in breakfast room. maid service quick and efficient. market next door. metro 1.5 blocks away. plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. appreciated hotel free wifi.

Pros: Friendly, welcoming staff. close to plaza d’espanya. near metro. decent size rooms with a nice balcony. large choice of fruits and yogurts for breakfast.
Cons: far from city center. poor selection of restaurants in the area. the hot foods breakfast (meals and omelets) tasted bad.

Pros: I asked for a room with a balcony and got one. the apt was cleaned thoroughly each day. needed a dual plug for travel kettle which friendly man in reception provided.
Cons: It was almost 2pm before i was able to get into my apt on the day of arrival. my wallet was stolen(not from the hotel) the day i left and unfortunately the hotel staff were unable to help with telephone calls to the us and the uk.
