 "nice place"
In the city centre, it is a very pleasant place to stay, which was just for one night as Iwas just going to see a concert which was close by.It has a nice Gym, Sauna, Steam room and Pool.I only had a single room... but it was very comfortable and bearing in mind it is in the city centre, was very quiet.

 "A little large"
For the most part I enjoyed my stay in this hotel.The location is exellent.Although the hotel itself is a victorian structure,the room itself was comfortable and modern.I only have two real concerns.the shower screen in the bathroom is totally inadeqate.Unless you are four feet tall the water ends up everywhere.Also because of the age of the building,actually getting to your room can be a bit of a trek and also a little confusing.Perhaps an additional entrance at the end of each wing could be added with a secure door on each.All in all though a very pleasant stay-would use this hotel again.

 "Classy hotel"
Beautiful historic hotel with stunning architecture and very nice comfortable rooms.Would definitely recommend and stop there again.Particularly nice to stop in at Christmas time as beautifully decorated.Mini fridge in room with complimentary items a nice touch.Beds very spacious and comfortable.Bathroom first class.Overall a classy hotel which is the best we have stayed at in Newcastle.

 "Room and check in"
Unfortunately after eventually finding room on second floor up and down numerous flights of stairs I placed key in room door tyo find a semi clad gentleman alrewady in room - embarrassing all round. I was offered a free breakfastr - however I did not have time to take advantage and I do not feel that the second room given was particularly good quality asd it was at the top of the building in a noisy position. Double booking has never happened to me before in any hotal

 "Great Location, Lovely Staff, Nice Hotel, Fair Value"
As I was travelling to Newcastle by train I chose to base myself at the Royal Station Hotel.Upon arrival my welcome at Reception was charming and friendly - just what I've come to expect having visited Newcastle on business several times recently. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. The hotel itself looked generally a little "tired" - i.e. a typical "period" railway station hotel. But it is clear to see that with a little TLC it could be magnificent; as it probably once was. Overall, I'd happily recommend this hotel to the business traveller.

 "Rob' s first trip to Newcastle"
The Royal Station hotel is a beautiful place to stay, renovated but still completely in Victorian style. My room was well equiped, wtih an excellent bed, it was clean and large. Wireless internet available. Location nearby the centre and the bridges and many nice restaurants. The people are friendly and able to help with any problem. Good breakfast, full english and continental. The rooms are not expensive at all and they have nice offers during the weekends! I would certain recomment this hotel to a friend or bussiness relation.

We needed an overnight stay between trains to break our journey to Scotland. Perfect for that purpose.

 "Very convenient for newcastle station"
Pros: Very convenient for newcastle station. smart, clean hotel, comfortable if small room. reasonable breakfast.
Cons: The fire alarm went off at 04.00 hours, probably due to someone smoking in their room. we had to get up and stand in the cold

Pros: Superb. very nice rooms. loved the free spa. hotel is in brilliant location for people travelling by train and close to all the shops and nightlife. will definitely recommend to friends and family and use the hotel again in the future.

 "The staff were very friendly and the room was very modern"
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the room was very modern.
Cons: Room serivice. as i ordered to drinks with ice which cost us £5.50 which then turned out not to have ice and the cordial was awful. the bed sheets also had black marks on and the the bathroom had long dark hairs stuck on the tiles.
