 "Lovely room, super hotel"
Really enjoyed this hotel. We had an inner room which was spacious with an excellent bathroom. Service was first class and the location was fine. It was very quiet considering we were on a busy main street. Highly recommended!

Booked a superioor room based on other comments (707) Good size and with great bathroom (twin vanities - one for my wife, the other for my wife) Electric shutters on all windows block out any outside light. When room became hot, opened french doors - downside is the traffic noise outside but not a big problem as we were exhausted from shopping, walking, eating etc. Police station just up the road meant a few sirens but no big deal. Breakfast was good at 9 Euros and brilliant location - close to everything in the old part of Madrid. Bit cold for the terrace bars (2) when we were there but it would be great in the summer. Highly recommended.

 "Weekend break in Madrid"
What a wonderful hotel ! I had arranged a short break for myself,partner,son and father in law.I chose the Atlantico as it was central and within walking distances of main squares, museums etc. We booked superior rooms for what i thought was a very reasonable price. The detail, down to the hand mirror on the dressing table for makeup was excellent. The breakfast choice was good from continental style to scrambled eggs and bacon,with fresf fruit and various coffees and teas on offer. Roof top bar was a great place for early evening drinks. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. I cannot do anything other than praise all aspects of the ATLANTICO - WELL DONE !

Cons: Rooms are rather dated - remind me more a a 3 star rather than the listed 4 star.

 "The hotel is well located and only a block from metro station"
Pros: The hotel is well located and only a block from metro station.
Cons: Their last airport shuttle pick up is 5:30pm. you are on your own if arriving after that time. make sure you book the shuttle from the hotel to the airport asap as seats are very limited and it runs every 2 hours.

Pros: Reception staff could not be more helpful. rooms were cleaned to a very high standard. hotel in very good decorative order.
Cons: Although the windows are very soundproof, the walls between rooms allow a lot of noise. it is possible to overhear whole conversations.

Pros: Although a single room was booked, they put me in a larger room for two with a nice view. the hotel helped me to arrange transportation to the airport for a very reasonable price.
Cons: The airport pickup service that is included in the price of the room only runs until 17:30, leaving those who arrive later to figure out transportation on their own.
