 "Fantastic!"
We had a great three nights in this hotel which was amazing for the price we paid. Room was comfy, with a good bed and quieter than we had expected given it is so central and we are country bumpkins. The breakfast was great too and the staff really helpful and friendly. We decided on the second night to eat in the pub which adjoins their brasserie, just because we didn't want a full blow out meal. The pub however was able to offer both a real good pub menu as well as dishes off the brasserie menu so I had their risotto which was out of this world. My husband had a burger which was so good we went back the next day and I had it, whilst he sampled excellent fish and chips. We only were in the pub for one evening session but the live music was fab and staff and customers really friendly - only problem was trying not to drink too much! Overall excellent! Thanks, we will come back and also spread the word!

 "Central Dublin"
Arranged airport pickup did not work, but this was to be provided by an outside company and the Lodge staff reprimanded them straight away. The Lodge is very central for access to a lot of transport and sight seeing options. rooms are basic and ready for an update. Faciities were adequate and in line with the price point.

 "Very helpful and friendly staff"
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Booked this hotel for the free airport shuttle but ended up making our own way to and from airport because the hotels shuttle would mean hanging around the airport for a couple of hours

"The free airport transfer was a good start"
Pros: The free airport transfer was a good start. the staff is friendly and helpful. the hotel is centrally located and near to everything for sightseeing. its in the shopping centre area where there are several food outlets and shops. the free internet is good but for some reason, i could not access it on my laptop though it works on my phone. the downside is that you have to access the internet at the reception area. breakfast is good. value for money.
Cons: Just the internet connection not being available in the room. room is a bit small.

"The ladies on the front desk are very friendly"
Pros: The ladies on the front desk are very friendly. breakfast is included in price and is a decent breakfast. the heater works well. only a short walk into town.
Cons: The room was extremely small with hardly any room to move around (the bathroom was worse). the bed was not very comfortable (the pillows were terrible). the hotel is above a bar that gets very loud and makes it hard to get any sleep. no wifi in bedroom but can use in reception area but they provide no seats or area to do so!!!

"My partner and i stayed here for one night whilst travelling through..."
Pros: My partner and i stayed here for one night whilst travelling through ireland. our first impression of the area was not that great however if like us you are going to be out and about day and night it is perfect for sleeping in. our room was small and basic but clean. the breakfast is included in the price and there was enough to fill you. the price for dublin is really cheap and you get what you pay for. no thrills but a clean room.

"In the heart of the city centre, less than 10minutes walk from temple bar..."
Pros: In the heart of the city centre, less than 10minutes walk from temple bar but still very quiet. good quality/quantity of breakfast and all of the staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The ensuite bathroom was a bit cramped and the hotel didnt have a lift which may affect some people. neither of these things affected my stay at all - when i go to dublin again i will stay there!

An ideal base from which to explore Dublin, this Victorian residence is located in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Temple Bar’s numerous restaurants and pubs. Recently restored, the house has been tastefully decorated to a very high standard. There are double, twin and single - bedded rooms to choose from, all en-suite and equipped with cable television, coffee and tea making facilities and hairdryers. Lunch and dinner are served in its recently-opened restaurant. Offering home-baked bread, fresh salads, daily seafood, vegetarian and seasonal specials, it is fully licensed, with a wide offer of French and new world wines. Traditional Irish cuisine - with Irish Stew, Beef & Guinness Stew and Celt Coddle, among others - is served all day in the bar. In the evenings, pay a visit to the Celt Pub, famous for its fantastic atmosphere and traditional Irish music every night. Located right next door to the guesthouse, you won’t have to travel far at the end of the night to get to your cosy bed.
