"Excellent vacation, excellent hotel tomo highly recommended"

my first trip to San Francisco lasted a week. I stayed first 2 nights at hotel tomo then moved to touristy areas such as Yosemite, calistoga, Carmel and Monterey. Before returning to the city I realised that I really wanted to go back to hotel tomo again for my last 2 nights. Luckily for me they had one room. Staff were so friendly and helped me with finding different areas within the city I wasn't sure of. Helpful when I experienced wifi difficulties on my last night. I had free access to computer for printing my boarding passes for my flights home. I have to be completely honest, if I hadn't discovered hotel tomo in japantown I would not have enjoyed San Francisco half as much as I did. Cleanliness of the rooms, fantastic staff and really affordable hotel room rates with cool Japan anime characters on Walls and ceilings and extremely clean rooms will remind me of the really amazing stay in San francisco. I hasten to add I had looked at hotels in fishermans wharf but when I went there for few hours found the area really tacky and touristy. Japantown is much quieter, and only 10 minutes from union square on no. 2 or 3 bus. And also filmore street is just 2 blocks away from hotel tomo, it is reputed to be the equivalent of Newbury St in Boston. Great boutiques, tasty eateries, what more would you need or want?

"Clean, great service, great location, great value!"

A wonderful place to stay if visiting Japantown or the city in general. We walked everywhere we wanted to go, from the Marina to Polk St. and around the neighborhoods where Hotel Tomo is located, which are full of delicious restaurants and cute boutique shops. Go!

Excellent vacation, excellent hotel tomo highly recommended

A larger establishment, Hotel Tomo, a Joie de Vivre Hotel has quite a number of rooms to choose from. It is comforting to know that the rooms are of a 3-star level. War Memorial Opera House is an interesting attraction within walking distance. Staying here puts you in a good position for easy access to Alamo Square, City Hall plus Lombard Street. St. Mary's Cathedral is 0.5 km (0.3 miles) from here. Cathedral Event Center is not far from here.

A restaurant, a bar/lounge and an exhibit space are a handful of the common facilities you can access when staying in Hotel Tomo, a Joie de Vivre Hotel. Beneficial services such as a dry cleaning/laundry service and a concierge service, along with a luggage storage, can be to your advantage. Particularly interesting for today's business traveller: the presence of a conference space alongside a business center. The accommodation consists of 125 rooms.
