 "Good Hotel"
Pro:- Great Location (near enough to the old-city for leisure and far away enough for a quiet stay)- Nice (european) Breakfast... i liked it.. im from switzerland- Very clean, also the bathroomCons:- Our Room was a little bit cold. Had to turn up the radiator.- Super small Bathroom. During shower, no other person can enter the room.- The room had no light-switches at the end of the bed. After reading a book you have to get up to sitch off light.

Pros: Charming hotel, professional staff. view from our window was fantastic.
Cons: Shame breakfast wasn't included.
booked 3 rooms and only 1 was what we expected, the other 2 much smaller, no view and one only had a very small window.

Pros: Location was convenient. i arrived early and they allowed me access to my room which was great.
Cons: Customer service and willingness to help varied as to the staff on duty. (the exception being the younger male receptionist who was very helpful.)

Cons: The hotel looked like it was decorated 20 years ago, the room was tiny and the iron along with ironing board supplied was pathetic and not fit to use.
i would not pay half the price we were charged for this hotel again and would advise anyone paying over £50 per night (that is what it's worth) to avoid it. the only plus u would give this hotel i the view....which we had to climb onto a chair to enjoy.

Pros: Although it was a rather small room, it was clean and very conveniently located to all the areas we wanted to see. the area seems quite residential so it was quiet at night, but oinly a 10 minute walk away from restaurants, cafes and bars...all around a good little hotel in a pretty area.
Cons: Bathroom was terribly small.

Pros: The manager is amazingly friendly. he is always there (i don't think the man ever sleeps!)
Cons: I think the room was a little overpriced (365 euro's for 2 nights) compared with most hotels at £100-ish a night. this may have been due to it being a bank holiday weekend though.

Situated in a lovely monumental 19th century canal building along the river Amstel, the hotel has an elevator, lounge with fireplace, fax facilities and very pleasant and helpful staff. They are proud to inform you that Hotel Nes in Amsterdam is a certified Green Key environment friendly hotel. It has obtained the certificate in 2008. This means they make an effort to make the hotel as environment friendly as possible. This includes buying certain products that do not affect the environment negatively like aggressive cleaning products and white paper. The hotel serves eco products for breakfast and they limit the use of water, gas and electricity.

Hotel Nes Amsterdam has recently been renovated and re-decorated and some of the 39 rooms have a beautiful view of the canals. The hotel offers rooms with private facilities like a bath or shower and toilet. Each room is fully equipped with a direct dial telephone, colour television and many other facilities.
