DGI Byens Hotel Copenhagen

The main and maybe the loneliest pro for this hotel is it's central location. The central railway station is 5 minutes on foot. And it is good because the taxi from the Kopenhagen airport to the center costs 40-50 euros. Kopenhagen is extremely expensive city in general. But certainly very nice and interesting.In the hotel you will be greeted by a very handsome and at the same time very indifferent staff. So remember to ask about everything you need, they surely tell you everything but will not do it voluntarily. So you need to ask about the swimming pool,opportunities to fitness, where and when is breakfast, where is your room situated. All of this is not easy to understand without help, because you will not find any helpful instructions on the walls and in any booklets. I arrived in 13-15, but they asked to wait till 14-00 for my prepayed room or to pay extra-fee to upgrade to superior room and enter it now. I agreed to pay more and took the superior, and... it was the most poorly designed room I've ever seen in the 3-stars hotels. It looked like an office-room. White walls, light wooden floor, common chair, table,TV-set and two very tiny beds with a tiny pillows and narrow blankets. The length of the bed is 180 cm.But the room was very warm, it is very important in this windy city. Breakfast was enough good and tasty but not very varied. Taste their chokocoffee, it's nice;) The swimming pool is good, especially for children, but it works only in a day time, so for me it was a disappointment - I like to go to a pool late in the evening before sleeping. There are no wireless internet in the rooms, only in the reception hall, but my room was close to reception - sometimes my tab had a weak connection even in the room on the first floor.So for few night this hotel is OK, it has good price in comparison with the other hotels in the center.
