 "First time visit and planning more."
I have often gone to Las Vegas and have stayed at many of the hotels on the strip. I even have time share but my daughter had an audition for a performing arts school so we went up for a day. We stayed at El Cortez it was inexpensive and three minutes from the school. We were warmly greeted by the staff and the room wasn't what you would find on the strip but it had the old Vegas feel to it. It was enjoyable and we walked over to fremont street. We had a great time and are planning to return next month with more time to spend.

 "Not as seen in photos"
I like that it was the older part of the hotel, but the fact of not having an elevator really irritated me. I realize it's Vegas but I still feel the amount I paid was not comparable to the room size.

 "Bike Fest 2012"
I was there for Bike Fest 2012 . The stay El Cortez was excellent, I have stayed there many times before, I really like the vintage rooms it reminds of old times. The rooms seem to be a biot biger than the cabanas & have a feel of home. Thanks for making my weekned .
