 "Nice hotel with a great staff and ambiance"
We've eaten at the Peacock Room restaurant in this hotel several times so we decided to try a room. The hotel is clean and the staff are very friendly. The whole place is steeped in history and abounds with antique photos. The original elevator is not self service - the bellman will operate it for you. Our queen bed room was at the opposite side from the street and was very quiet. We heard no street noise. There is usually a lot of motorcycle traffic on weekends. The only compliant was the adjacent room TV sound passed through the wall. (Fortunately, they turned it off early.) The bathroom was very clean but cramped. (Not recommended for plus size people.)
