Corso Italia Suites Sorrento  

On arrival it was a bank holiday, but after a telephone call we were met at the travel agency and taken to our apartment. Unfortunately it had not been cleaned and the cleaner could not come until 4 pm so we had to vacate until 5.30 with the hope that it was clean when we arrived back. Thankfully it had been, but it was not a great start to our trip. The apartment was very central and ideal for a family group. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

we stayed in number 39 which i think is their biggest of the three (they also have flats at number 116 and 106 in the same street) and it was huge, with high ceilings and window shutters. despite this being on a prime location in the main shopping street there was no noise. Do be aware though there is nothing from the outside to tell you it is there - it is just one of an ordinary residential apartment building behind a plain brown door. we spent an hour walking up and down the street looking for a 'corso italia suites' office or notice somewhere and there was none. we eventually discovered (after eliciting the help of the 'english inn' staff!) the keys have to be collected from a travel agent at number 118 (i think - opposite a pharmacy) so I would suggest you email the owners in advance confirming the key collection arrangements

My family and I stayed in the 2 bedroom 2bathroom apartment. It was in a perfect location and was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Pros: It's a great location right, within walking distance of everything in sorrento. the staff were very accommodating, meeting us on our arrival outside of the usual office hours.
Cons: It's on the main road and almost opposite the cathedral so it's noisy day and night, and the bells from the cathedral ring out at all times. there isn't much that can be done about that but ear plugs were essential! also the cleanliness wasn't the best. there were piles of dust and hair behind the bedside cabinets and ants in the bathroom (we were on the 1st floor). we could have done with some cleaning utensils (mop etc.) as we were not there long enough to have a cleaner visit but it would have been good to have been able to mop the bathroom floor.

Pros: Excellent location. good access to public transport - circumversuia railway and sita bus links.
we had an appartment with view over corsa italia and the passaggageria (sorry struggle with the spelling) is great to just watch drinking a glass of wine
Cons: Some the the furnishings are looking washed out due to use and the kitchen is tiny

Pros: Hotel was in a fantastic location staff were friendly room was nice with balconies would definetely go back
Cons: Room was never cleaned during our stay and had to ask for clean towels
