I chose this hotel for it's proximity to the Gare Du Nord and found it to be everthing we required. Less than a 10 minute walk pulling a suitcase, small supermarket a couple of doors away and a Metro Station at nearby Gare Du Nord. The staff were very helpful and the Hotel was very nice, clean & quiet. We had breakfast included and it was quite good.

Paris Est Lafayette is a good business / person hotel and is located very central near station and metro. We had a very pleasant stay.

Worth what I paid (abt. 50% the official rate) because an early booking. The personnel at the reception very helpful and very kind. Very quiet and noiceless.

When we arrived at this hotel for our booking we were welcomed by a lady manager who advised that because of noise due to renovations it would not be suitable for our stay. This lovely lady had arranged us another room nearby, and then proceeded to assist us with our luggage to the new hotel, introduced us to the manager. The new hotel was extremely comparable, - they honoured the breakfast arrangements, and price. She also threw in two tickets to cruise on the river seine. We found this lady's service outstanding and applaud her.

Staff were very mixed in communication skills and friendliness, some charming and informative, some definitely not. The location was was good because only minutes from Gare du Nord but the street it was in was unpleasant , with dustbins, vacant properties and the homeless begging at the ends of the street. The hotel was clean, colourful, bright and smart looking on the ground floor(reception and breakfast room) but our room was a bit threadbare, very dark and claustrophobic ( you had to open the windows and crane your neck to see anything of the sky) with a very loud extractor pipe roaring on and off just outside the window at all times of the day and night . The breakfast experience however was wonderful , delicious food, lots to choose from, well organized , and very good value.

The room and the service were perfect if you compare the price we paid for. Unfortunately we got a room which lied on the street side so it was a little bit loud but if you have closed the windows it was ok.The breakfast was fantastic and you got a very bride variety to eat...

Based on reviews and pictures of hotel online, we booked the hotel. Location, while only a short walk from the train station, was really not the best. Many sidewalk pan-handlers and at night, people sleeping on corners and doorways. Close to subway which was convenient. Night time noise in hotel woke us up; awakened to others checking in and conversing which reverberated as if they were actually entering our room. Very small rooms.Would not recommend, though hotel staff were very helpful with directions.

This hotel was perfect for us. We traveled as a couple, no kids, and were on a site seeing trip in Paris. the room was just for sleeping and showering. We didn't spend any time in the room other than for that purpose. So the small room met our needs. The breakfast was wonderful - loved the baguette and cheeses! The hotel staff was really helpful and accomodating while we asked for directions, suggestions and help. the location is close to Gare de Nord and gives easy access to so much of the wonderful Paris city! I would recommend this hotel for sure and would stay again!

Hotel was nice and clean, modern decor and not as small as i was expecting for Paris.We did find it quite difficult to find the hotel and area at night is not the nicest or the safest. We walked past many homeless and glue sniffers while trying to find the place. Staff were nice and friendly and spoke good English. Our room had no number on the door and had a very werid flashing light set up. There was no main light only down lights by the bed, when you turned one of these on there were led lights under the windows that started flashing and remained that way untile you turned the light off. Very annoying and bizzare!

We were given double size rooms for our stay which were large. Normally when we stay in Paris the rooms are tiny unless you are prepared to pay.Only small negative is that the lift is tiny, I could only just fit a pushchair in it.Good place - would stay here again.

We went to Paris for the weekend to take my cousin for her bday.Ideally location as we flew into Beauvais, so ideally to get the train from there direct to Gare De Nord, bars and restaurants around the area were reasonable price. We went to disneyland and again ideal to get tube.The hotel was clean, spacious, vlaue for money and someone on reception to help all the time.Would stay here again in the future

This hotel is very convenient for the Gare du Nord and is in a quiet back street. Room was perfectly adequate, with everything we needed for an overngiht stay and the breakfast (included in the price) was excellent. They also looked after our baggae for the day until we caught the evening Eurostar.

Pros: The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, theree was a nice relaxed atmosphere despite the hotel being very full. the breakfast was excellent as was the location
