 "Great hotel near the beautiful Tiergarten!"
My daughter and I stayed here for five nights in July - the hottest week Berlin had experienced so far this summer!Good points: better than the typical Novotel standard with clean, modern, comfortable rooms. The air-conditioning was so quiet that at first I thought it wasn't working properly, but it cooled down the room very well after 10-20 minutes. Even though the hotel is located right by an S-Bahn and on very busy main road, we didn't hear a thing. It felt so quiet at times that I thought we were the only people staying on our floor. The hotel is located right opposite the Tiergarten S-Bahn station which has great transport links all over Berlin. It was lovely to be right by the Tiergarten, a beautiful place for a stroll during the day. The service was great, reception and restaurant staff very helpful and friendly. We had the buffet breakfast every morning which was included in the price of our stay, and although it was very busy in the mornings, there was enough space for everybody and food supplies were being topped up constantly. Very good selection of foods. We also ate in the restaurant on two nights, small but good menu, nice food.The not so good points: For my taste the bed was not very comfortable, as the mattress was rock hard, it felt like I was sleeping on a slab of concrete! I requested an extra duvet which was brought to our room and then slept on the duvet to soften the mattress with the extra duvet to cover me. The location at the Tiergarten is great, but there is almost nothing in the area in terms of restaurants, shops, etc. There is a nice little restaurant with beer garden called "Tierquelle" just around the corner from the hotel, and a Burger King the other side of the rail bridge, but that was all we could find in the immediate area.All in all a great hotel though, and I would consider staying again despite the mattress problem!

 "Excellent Vacation"
What a beautiful hotel, Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Bathroom was really nice. The hop on and hop off bus stopped right in front of the hotel. Breakfast had a large selection, but was pricey at 19 euros. The hotel is in the Tiergarten section of the city. I hghly recommend this hotel
