 "totally messed up my booking"
i booked this with easytobook, paid in full at time of booking, turned up took a while to try and park as not enough parking spaces to accommodate the size of hotel, went to check in and was advised that they had overbooked and i needed to go to their sister hotel across the road, which has an outdoor pool - not an indoor pool. the pool was actually covered over and not in use and would not have used anyway, part of the reason for picking this hotel was to have a nice chilled swim, got to sister hotel, they were expecting me, was given a clean and tidy compact room, nothing like desc in the durley dean, def a poor relation, staff were polite, thought i had been advised and i had not, i would have booked somewhere else IF i had been contacted and advised, very disappointed with comms and no compensation for the disappointment and obviously downgraded hotel, not sure would book with easytobook again, first time used this site and obviously have problems as apparently there were 4 lots of bookings transferred to the other hotel on this day!!!
