Junior Account Manager Hotels

This role is based in Amsterdam, Netherlands

As Junior Account Manager you will be assisting the responsible Account Manager of the assigned city to develop and maintain the hotel accounts. You will be reporting directly to the company’s Vice President of Operations. This means that you will help maintain the hotel accounts and create better revenue as well as allocate and train new hotels on a regular monthly basis. Your strong ability to multitask and a strong eye for detail will help the city to grow as well as create a solid client base and achieve commercial success.

Responsibilities

• Assist the responsible Account Manager with the coordination and production of new hotels
• Help with the optimization of revenue through the acquisition and management of inventory, rates and promotions together with hotel managers to bring better results
• Practice allotment management; getting more availability and better rates
• Delivering of correct hotel details, maintaining good contacts with hotels in order to secure up to date information
• Training hotels in using our Rates & Availability System
• Conduct weekly competitive analysis for hotels, check statistics in the control room and follow up
• Monitor fulfillment of performance by hotel suppliers and address any concerns
• Contribute to and initiate to adapt products to meet current needs and requirements in the market
• Take over the responsible Account Manager’s main tasks while out of the office
• Visit Tourism Fairs and Trade Events when necessary
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships, being the main point of contact for clients
• Fluent English with German, French, Italian, Spanish or Dutch

Requirements

• HBO graduate is an advantage
• Native in German, French, Italian, Spanish or Dutch and fluent in English
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the Hospitality Industry
• Experience with promotions and/or marketing (the hotel industry is an advantage)
• Good computer skills
• Being very well organised and having an excellent eye for detail
• Being motivated and reliable
• Having energy, enthusiasm, commitment & flexibility
• Being available to travel from time to time to different destinations to visit hotels or attend fairs if necessary.
