Pros: Charming, small hotel. very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. also, it was quiet.
Cons: The first room i was given had one bed, and i had specifically requested two, as i was traveling with a friend. the staff fixed this immediately, however. also, the room smelled faintly of smoke - so it could be left over from days when smoking was allowed.

Pros: I really enjoyed staying at the st. denis. the staff were very helpful in answering my questions. the rooms were very clean. compared to american standards the room was a little small, but i thought it was fine for canada.

Pros: Hotel is located in excellent distance from latin and chinese quasrter, close to food and sight seeing
Cons: Drunks outside the hotel at night were smashing bottles and crates etc for at least 2 hours, started around midnight. this was just one of the incidences with homeless people and beggars on the street. not a good way to advertise the city.

Pros: The st-denis was clean, quiet and affordable. i slept well. i hardly heard any other guests! the restaurants and services on rue st-denis are handy. location was great(esp for latin quarter)!

Cons: There were three employees who worked behind th desk while we were there. two women were warm & friendly and very helpful. there was one gentleman who was extremely rude. why he is working behind the desk we will never know.

Cons: Old and veru noisy air contitioner. openi ng of windows doesn't help because outside noisy ventilation equipment is installed. chambermaid's lorry was left in the middle of narrow corridor for 2 days
