Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Hot water unavailable for 3 days.
electricity switched off several times.
air conditioner did not work - changed rooms.
all room furniture (bed, chairs etc)was broken or did not function.
no television arial - rabbit's ears only. - no cable tv so no english television.
breakfast was sliced bread, one processed cheese triangle and instant coffee.

Cons: If you want a smart modern hotel look elsewhere. this is period piece and will only appeal to thise with a sense of history

Pros: The windsor has a lot of character, with a lovely old bar/restaurant. the rooms were clean and the staff were helpful
Cons: The air-conditioning unit was quite old so although it made the room comfortable it wasn't especially efficient. also, like evrywhere in egypt, the staff are more than happy to help but one always feels they will do it only for baksheesh
