 "Near the metro, almost in the marais area but quite on the side of the area"
Pros: Near the metro, almost in the marais area but quite on the side of the area. nevertheless it is central paris and the price was fairly goog, always in comparison with paris hotel prices. free wi-fi.
Cons: Small room with no wardrobe. only one towel per person. that's it. no other towel in the room for hands or hair! no elevator also (but quite common in paris old buildings i think).

Pros: The hotel is located in an old building and has retained much of its old-world charm.
Cons: The staff, save one person, really does not want to deal with the non-french-speaking clients. there is no elevator or ac.
