Tonic Hotel Du Louvre Paris  

Excellent location, central and quiet at the same time - mind you, it was the weekend. Only complaint would be that the 2 single beds, pushed together to make a double, were VERY narrow, and not fixed in position, so moved apart during the night. See if you can get a proper double!

Pros: Excellent location for tourism. nice and helpful front-desk. comfortable bed (after walking everyday, all the time, i needed one). free internet in the room.
Cons: Room service failing with essentials, like providing soup and toilet paper. small room. no coffee maker in room. expensive breakfast.

Pros: This was a lovely small hotel very conveniently located blocks from the louvre, pompidou, orsay, notre dame...all the places one wants to visit in paris. the metro was also steps away. rooms were small but clean and nice. best of all, the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Cons: No negative comments!

Pros: Excelent location very close to louvre museum and to metro stations, very friendly staff, all speaking english, the room had a safe inside the closet
Cons: The fridge did not work, the carpet and the bed's blanket were not very clean, no outside view from the window, the breakfast was certainly not worth 15 euros per person..

Cons: This is basically a terraced house in a side street that has been turned into an hotel. the room was adequate in terms of size, but we were on the first floor looking into the street, which was very noisy througout the night. this didn't bother us too much as we only wanted a place to sleep and use as a base for sight seeing. the bathroom was basic, with a shower screen over the bath edge. i almost broke my neck stepping out once as my doot caught on the screen door trying to step over the high bath edge. definitely not suitable for the eldery ot infirm. despite the clean sheets, there was a very stale smell in the room, which was very off putting and the curtains hadn't ben cleaned for a good few years. the bath area itself had that black mould growing on the tile grout and on the ceiling. i wasn't impressed with the general level of cleanliness at all. all in all an adequate hotel, but not the sort of place you would pick for a brief honeymoon stop over, which we did. as for paris - what a rip off. nice to see once, but will not be going back.

Pros: Excellent location. quaint room. helpful staff.
Cons: Steam bath and jacuzzi did not work. took awhile for shower to heat up. some pealing paint and mold / mildew in the washroom.

Pros: We found the staff to be generally very helpful. the standard of cleanliness was excellent. plenty of hot water! ideal location - all sights were within walking distance.
Cons: Some staff were a little dour - no smiles - but that may be the language barrier - although most of them spoke at least a little english.

Pros: Great location, close to everything and hotel staff were friendly.
