Mercure Paris Terminus Nord  

When i booked for my husband and self i was given the impression that breakfast and wifi were included. When we booked in we were told that this was not the case. The first room we were put in the AC did not work. Given my serious complaint about the inaccuracies of the website info and the fact that the AC was not working (it was hot) I was furious! I must say that the young man at reception tried to appease us and put us in the best room they had and indicated that we would get free wifi. We appreciated the gesture but i must say i could not get on to the wifi from my Ipad. We were exhausted and had a good sleep. I suggest that the information on the website be updated to reflect the actual services provided when one books a room. The location next to the Gare to Nord is excellent if you are taking the EuroStar which we did.

My first solo trip abroad so a little nervous and was arriving in Paris late evening on Eurostar, the hotel is very handy for the station, literally just across the road,. Room was lovely, overlooked the station and noise was not a problem. Staff lovely, and I felt very comfortable there . Breakfast lovely too. I would book again.

Pros: Helpfull staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms, perfect location
Cons: Rooms quite small, a bit old.
i indicated in the comments of the booking that we were a family with 3 children but they said they didn't know so they had to put an extra bed in. but they did so right away.

Pros: Great location for eurostar, very nice and helpful staff, room size was comfortably sized, enjoyed having different tv channels including english channels, loved the espresso machine in the room and the amenities. breakfast buffet was international and had a wonderful selection.
Cons: Lobby and west elevator smelled strange (residual cleaning products, damp mildew, urine?). bathroom fixtures were really worn (scratched & stained sink, enamel chips on toilet and in bathtub). mattress wasn't very comfortable.

Pros: Hotel location, nice furnished rooms
Cons: The corridors neeeeed to be renovated. make a very poor impression.
