Pavillon Louvre Rivoli Paris  

Pros: The location was good for the tourist attractions such as the louvre, other museums and shopping. also the breakfast option was excellent.
Cons: First day there i was sent to a "sister" hotel and was told there was a "problem" with my reservation. i was told for only one night i would have to stay at the other hotel, that they would pay for the 1 night and taxi to and from the hotel for my troubles, and that i could check back in at noon the next day. the other hotel was way across town, not in an area i would choose personally. at check out the following morning, i was told i needed to pay and there was a misunderstanding between both hotels. the front desk said he was unaware of hotel problem and asked if i would like to stay at the hotel they sent me and my new husband to. when i got to the hotel pavillon louvre rivoli, the room was very small with mold in the ceiling and the air conditioner did not work. so much trouble had already happened due to the misunderstanding of my reservation and transfer that it was too much trouble to complain about the accommodations with mold, etc. so we suffered the flaws.

Pros: Location is excellent! breakfast is a buffet and quite good food and value. however it is hard to get a cup of tea/coffee at the hotel outside of breakfast. rooms are quite well soundproofed from neighbours which is appreciated!
Cons: The whole street's garbage bins are emptied daily at 6am underneath the windows, which is very noisy with a truck and breaking glass.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way to assist me during my stay with directions and loan of phone charger until i had my own. hotel shuttle driver was arranged to take me to collect my car at the end of my stay. some staff had very limited english but all endeavoured to assist as needed. my room was ok for one or for a romantic couple -- not much room to spare. shower over bath could be an issue for arthritic/oler person. lots of hot water and a very good shower. located in a generally quiet street -- linen van collects very early ~ 4 am-- otherwise delightful to look out the window and see local street activity.
Cons: The bath drainage was a bit sluggish but did work. very poor wifi strength in room. needed to go down to small lounge in lobby area to connect effectively.

Pros: Staff was friendly
Cons: Maintenance was poor, bed-side lamp was broken. tiny room with no view. thinnest towels i have ever had. overall everything was cramped and small. i felt like i was at motel 6 - for the money i paid it was not worth it!
