Cons: Room far too small and very basic for the price we paid. permanent musty smell in bathroom. no mirror anywhere in bedroom smells and noise from surrounding area in room.hotel would be rated 2* maximum in u.k. poor value for money. would not stay here again.

Cons: Hotel has clearly been a lovely hotel. the bathrooms and beddiing were clean but sadly the floors walls and furnishing throughout the hotel are worn and dirty.

Cons: We booked our room 3 months ahead - but at arrival at genio we were told that they were overbooked. they had arranged another room for us, at another hotel - within same hotel group ! - but far away from the old center we so much wanted. on top of this, the message was delivered as a standard phrase - so, it seems that they just take all bookings on the attractive hotels and later transfer you to mere unattractive hotels in case of overbookings. we accepted - we didnt want to spent several hours of discussion on a 3 nights visit to rome.

Cons: I would have liked to have been told about the vat before checkout! i think it is about 7% tax added to your bill, should be mentioned on the website please!

Pros: Great location, staff very helpful, our first room was tiny with ridiculously small bed (room 312) but there was no trouble in moving us and the next room was great. the roof top terrace is a nice extra touch! a really good hotel to be based to experience ancient rome!
Cons: The staff said it was forbidden to use an iron in the room... so iron your clothes before you go! quite a bit of noise from nearby restaurants, not a problem for us but some people may not like.
