Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and helpful especially front desk staff named roberto. he was very helpful in providing assistance to us.

Cons: The receptionist was not very welcoming and even though we had booked a hotel with parking we were told by her that we could not park in front of the hotel and we had to pay 18 euros per day for parking in a parking place nearby and also on checkout had to haul our heavy bags back to the car as we would have had to pay a lot more to bring the car in front of the hotel as it is in a restricted area. the hotel rooms also desperately need painting...the walls were very dirty.

Pros: Great location, we pay 250 euro for 3 night - good prize.

Cons: The hotel room was dirty, the paint was chipped, there were stains all over the walls, and the windows were in serious need of some paint. the breakfast was adequate. make sure to ask the hotel staff to make you a cappuccino as they can do that if you ask. the hotel location is convenient to the metro stop piazza barberini. is within walking distance to the trevi fountion and the spanish steps.

Pros: We were very pleased with hotel king, as it provided all the amenities we needed, and was very charming. the hotel was in our favorite neighborhood: about a 2 minute walk to the spanish steps (very fun area to hang out at in the evenings and night), right next to barberini square (our favorite spot to people watch over glasses of vino), and in a very safe neighborhood. though the colisseum and vatican are a bit of a long walk (about 20 minutes on foot), i would not want to stay close to those areas as they are very busy and a bit sketchy. our favorite restaurant in rome was right next door to hotel king: la botte! i highly recommend eating there even if you don't stay at hotel king, as the food is resonably priced, delicious, and the staff there was so kind. pepy's is also a fun place to get drinks and meet other travelers, but i wouldn't recommend the food so much. if you stroll down to the spanish steps i suggest stopping by the rooftop restaurant/bar on the top to the right. the fruit and champage drink was to die for! i would stay at hotel king again.
Cons: Though we were happy with hotel king, we did enjoy the hotel veneto on our way back through rome. via veneto was not quite as central to the area we liked, but it was much more beautiful. contrarily, the mom-and-pop feel of hotel king, the rooftop garden, and the pretty breakfast area (though we slept in too late to enjoy the actual breakfast :) made for a great stay at hotel king. i would recommend this hotel for young travelers, though fancy pants and families may not enjoy it as much as we did.

Pros: Don't arrive late! the hotel sold our room the first night and we had to return to the airport to sleep. we had make a reservation one day earlier than our other family members. when they arrived the next morning, we called the hotel and they could not explain what happened the night before but did confirm our reservations for the next three nights. overall, the hotel was comfortable, clean, great location, and satisfying breakfast. had it not been for the problems the first night, i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Pros: The location is the forte, after complaining when we arrived they moved us to another room. staff quite courtous and polite.
Cons: The website gave the inpression of 3 stars, the hotel is'nt, its very old and worn in: it needs updating, the rooms are so dark and past there sell by date. we asked to be moved because the room we were given was dingy and not very clean.we also had previously asked when booking to be put in adjacent room because of our children.

Pros: Friendly and professional staff; exceptional location; rooms facing inner court area are quiet - never had a bad night's sleep; morning continental breakfast very adequate.
Cons: Hotel does not truly have all the "extras" it claims to provide on your web listing: e.g. no conceierge service, bar and lunge are there but are never staffed and no one was ever seen using it, etc....
