 "Looked like hostel"
My room was in the building next door. Narrow and steep spiral staircase into a decent size room with a tiny bathroom. I had to sit sideways to use the toilet. The view out the window was not of the canal as hoped but of the back alley. Our friends in the other room froze because their heat didn't work. We were lucky. The few parking options were far and in parking garages. There was wifi but only worked if you were right next to the main office. The one positive was the free breakfast. Nothing fancy but good.

We enjoyed the peaceful neighbourhood, and the hotel itself was nice with friendly personnel. Breakfast was ok, just a bit boring for a whole week´s stay. Our room was ok, except there were no hooks on walls to hang your towel or coat - why? Would´nt cost much...

A lot of noise from the street, poor breakfast but very central location. Recommended for anyone who wants to be near the center and touristic objectives. The price is not cheap but for few days is good deal.

Location was good and staff were helpful. However we could not sleep in the night since the bells in nearby church kept on ringing every half an hour! Breakfast menu was same for all days. Room was clean but no lift.

 "Cozy and good location"
Located near pinsegracht could not be so convenient! the bnb are reachable by tram from the main station. Only 5mins away from Anne frank house, tulip & cheese museum. Lovely bnb with lovely view overlooking the canal. The breakfast area so comforting, the room are so clean, we won't hesitate to stay here again.

Basic hotel with sketchy internet access. Room was clean and breakfast was served. Very near Anne Frank's museum, and neighborhood has many restaurants and shops. Best part is being far away from the tourists in the more central area. Jordaan is more residential.

I stayed at Hotel van Onns for 3 nights with my boyfriend (for our first anniversary) and really enjoyed it. We asked for, and got, a lovely room with view on the canal. it's clean, staff is friendly and the location is great (the Jordaan). I recommend it and i would stay there again.

 "Family City Visit"
This family run hotel is in an excellent location, just minutes away from the centre of Amsterdam. The rooms are basic. Breakfast is served in the main part of the hotel. Plenty of information available. We would stay there again.

For the price the very little room is very very simple, no decoration, or so 'cheap', nothing just 2 metallic beds of bad quality and the strict minimum furnitures-used and cheap-no soap in the shower (for the hands is supposed to be for the shower..). Hoppefully the breakfast is good... but no justification for the price !!!

 "Basic, but comfortable, hotel in very good location."
Loved the canal side location of this hotel, in a traditional Amsterdam house near Anne Frank Museum, about 20 minutes walk from the station through lovely streets and canals. Lots of character, including a very tight and steep spiral staircase in the annexe where we stayed - would not be easy for large items of luggage or for those with any mobility problems. Rooms were basic but perfectly comfortable and adequate, with good heating. Good breakfast and friendly proprietors. Would definitely return to this hotel.

 "Great location/small rooms"
We had a room for 4 people. We had requested a double bed and 2 singles. We got 4 singles. The room and the bathroom were tiny. The location was great! Beautiful canal street. Easily walkable to anywhere. The staff were increadibly nice, and very helpful. The breakfast was good - not great, but it was very nice to have breakfast included.

Room small but perfectly formed, looked out onto bloemgracht, which was lovely!!! Staff couldnt be more helpful! !!! Was able to leave my luggage at reception all day after checking out!! Great location to local attractions and city center! !! Definately be coming back!!!!

 "Fabulous location"
Absolutely excellent hotel. They have kept things really simple, but you will have everything you need. Breakfast is fun - they give you half a loaf of bread, so you can make sandwiches for your lunch.

 "An Excellent Stay at the Van Onna"
Spacious en suite rooms, great location and quiet, and breakfast included, all for a great price. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and now try to stay there on every trip to Amsterdam! A truly great hotel for the money.

Location of the hotel van Onna is good and price cheap. Int's in walking distance to Dam Square, Anna Frank's house, other places downtown Amsterdam. Hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. It was quiet.

I recommend this hotel for tourists who will need a place to sleep and start the day with a good breakfast. Personel are friendly and helpfull. Location, you canot have any better being right in the most popular district and close to amenities. Rooms are not suited to spent the day having no tv in the rooms and lighting is minimal. For future visits we will definitely book again
