This 300-room hotel (formerly the Barbizon Hotel & Towers) is considered an Upper East Side landmark. Originally built in the 1920s, for years it operated as a genteel residence for women.

In the early 1980s the hotel became a general tourist hotel, but in 1997 a major renovation transformed the property into a more upscale and luxurious destination.
