"Very Good"

Pool was excellent and always clean. Rooms were also very clean, hotel bar and restaurant not to over priced which was really good. Although service in the bar and restaurant was at times very slow, one time we were given our meals and weren't given any knife and forks and it took a while to grab the waitresses attention to alert her of this problem! Reception staff very friendly and always helpful. Free wifi was great!! Overall great stay at the Catalonia Park Guell Hotel!

"Parc Guel hotel Barcelona"

Overall an excellent hotel away from the maddening crowd (in a residential area of Barcelona.)Staff very friendly and aminable. Service was excellent, we reported that our air conditioning wasn't working in the morning and it was repaired by the time we got back. Bar and restuarant slightly expensive but plenty of places to eat just down the road. Stayed with 9 year old son for a week so it was great to have a pool to give him time to let of some steam. Views across Barcelona from the roof are stuperb. Only let down was that our room window was out onto the covered ventilation shaft so we couldn't really get fresh air into the room. Would definately stay here again when we visit Barcelona.

"all good"

We stayed for three nights at the hotel. The cafe in the lobby was super- the people throughout were excellent. The location was a little outside of the city, but it's what we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet with lots of cafes and shops. It was much less touristy as La Rambla and the "downtown" area. We wanted to be near the park and Montserrat and were. It was a little noise due to some construction in the hotel (and scooters on the street are a ubiquitous, ever-present source of background noise; but all-in-all it was lovely.

Cons: Location is on very high hills, if you travel with heavy luggage is a long walk from subway. parking also not easy, hotel offers parking at a garage for 15 euros / day but was full

Pros: Staff were spanish but went out of their way to help in english. directions by public transport need to be clearer. useing either bus 28 or bus 192 drops one some 50m from the hotel wheras the metro l3 involves a serious 1km uphill trek. wi-fi problematic in a whole wing, but we were offerred an immediate room change. we ate many meals in the restaurant and this was also a good experience. carl boshoff

"The hotel staff was extremely nice, warm, and friendly"

Pros: The hotel staff was extremely nice, warm, and friendly. even though my spanish is poor and i don't speak catalonian either, they went out of their way to engage with me in english. the power went out in my room and there was a leak in the ceiling and they immediately moved my belongings to another room. all of the rooms that i received also had a balcony with seats with a decent view of the surrounding neighborhood.

Cons: Hotel is too far away from the centre of barcelona (which we knew, but couldn't find anything else due to the holiday weekend that we stayed there).
