Barcelona was just perfect. The hotel was placed perfect near everything in the middle of the city. But the room was really small and no daylight. There was a door to the next room and we could hear everything they talked about next door including music and singing :O( The bed was hard and low on the middle.

If you want to stay in the middle of everything, you should stay at this hotel. The staff was also great and gave us tips about restaurants and places to go. The room we got was in the first floor with no natural light, which was very confusing when we woke up late and thought it was in the middle of the night. The room was also small, and I hoped the bathroom was better. But all in all it was okay. The room was cleaned every day! If.. When I go back to Barcelona, I will consider to book at this hotel again:)

I came too early in the morning the day I checked-in and the receptionist tried to immediately check if there were any rooms cleaned and available for me. They found one but needed an upgrade. I said I could wait until a similar room I booked would be available.Since I didn't want to walk around the city that early, the hotel offered me to stay and relax in their waiting hall and asked me if I wanted some tea (it wasn't for free - but the gesture was more important). Then afterwards, she also informed me that I could be in the rooftop to use the swimming pool or sun bathe if I wanted to instead of just waiting on the reception. Of course I said yes.The whol service in the hotel has always been like this throughout the entire stay. The room has been cleaned well and the design is minimalistic. Lobby is welcoming and the rooftop pool is a plus if you want a simple getaway from the crowded Barceloneta. The hotel is close to all important areas (El Gotico, Born, Raval and Barceloneta) to have a promanade and the street where it lies is calm despite the closeness to Las Ramblas. Price is affordable in relation to the quality of the room... and did i tell you that service was impeccable?This is a diamond.

The location of the hotel is fabulous really close to Las Ramblas and all the main attractions. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful provided us with some amazing recommendations for local restaurants and bars. Fabulous stay!

Cons: They gave away our room, forcing us into another hotel late at night. would not return to this hotel again.

Cons: They tried to move us to a different hotel because they didn't have our reservation

Pros: Great location. rooms good size.
Cons: The site needs to make it clearer that 80% of rooms have windows internally or no windows so you have no daylight. though i requested rooms with window or balcony, there had to be a bit of juggling of rooms on arrival and even then, we were given rooms with window to a void in building so you could not see any daylight at all. jacuzzi bit dirty also and pool freezing so did not use these even though we had planned to before the trip.

Pros: Excellent location, couldn't be better. staff were all very welcoming and friendly. hotel clean and well kept.
Cons: There was absolutely no soundproofing in the bedrooms- you could hear everything happening in the corridors outside from inside your room, not great if you want a lie- in. our room had no window which was a shame, as we couldn't tell what the weather was like until we left the hotel. also although the pool was nice to cool off in, the jacuzzi was in very poor condition and didn't seem very clean- there was a sort of scum around the sides.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, excellent location (central but in the old part of the city), pleasant staff, room with window and balcony was great. i have no trouble recommending.
Cons: I originally booked another hotel which was not at all like that described on the website (i booked a double and the picture had a sunny window - i arrived to a tiny internal room with a single bed and a single window facing an internal dark courtyard - i was then offered a double room on the ground floor with no window - upon complaining i was offered the catalonia avinyo which was fabulous.

Pros: loved the decor, the roof garden/patio, the location.
Cons:
the availability of foam "egg carton" pads to make the beds more comfortable for people with back problems would be wonderful. i had to use a folded blanket to make a pad under the sheet, which the maid removed daily.

Cons: We got a room with no windows to the outside. no very nice :-(

Pros: Obviously location; relatively new facility
Cons: Why there is carpet/parquet on the floor?? it is really cold to work on the naked floor. also there is only open closet in the room

Pros: Very close to the ramblas, rooms were really clean and were cleaned daily. no problems checking in.

Pros: Excellent location. clean hotel.
Cons: On our second nights stay there was an unexplainable strong smell of paint/varnish. we brought this to the attention of the staff on reception but were told there were no other rooms available and there was nothing which could be done. the smell was very strong and this made it very difficult to sleep and somewhat spoilt our second nights stay. as the member of staff did not even visit our room to investigate the smell for himself, we simply feel that our complaint was not taken seriously and find this frustrating. we are not the kind of couple who complain easily either!

Pros: Stuff are great and friendly, room was nice and tidy.
i have nothing to complain.

Pros: Clean, food was good and the staff were good
Cons: Yes we were moved to another of there hotels due to over booking,and the hotel was further out of thge town in a dodgy area
