Noise from elevator and wall should be solved to improve the quality of sleep. Desk lamp without light ball and unusable telephone set should be removed to improve the hotel image. G-mail should be ok

The bathroom was really dirty. One bed was broken. Air conditioning was noicy. View from the window was to someone's home. The waitres at the breakfast was unpolite and there was not that much to eat.

Room 501:- you can't close the window in a decent way;- we found hairs of at least 10 different persons in our bathroom;- the quality of the matras is horrible;- the carpet floor is stained everywhere;- we placed the toilet brush outside our room, the smell and the state of it was unbearable;- there was dust everywhere;- the quality of the pillows and the sheets were horrible;- we killed a cockroach (!) on the stairs- we only had breakfast once at the ho(s)tel. The service was very poor, the food was even worse;- it was very hard for some of the receptionists to just say 'Hello' to the customers;- the first day we had to ask for toilet paper, because we didn't had any at our room!We really have no idea why Trip Advisor recommended your ho(s)tel.Kind regards

This hotel is good value for money and is in a great location close to the centre. Don't know how people can moan when it is cheaper than most uk holidays. The air con wasn't the best and room was very hot - considering it was march. Staff are very friendly and speak good english

It was good for the price we payed..The rooms were simple and some things needed replacing and maintenance...but the staff was friendly andthe location was very good (walking distance to Placa Catalunya, Ramblas, Barri Gotic) and metro station very close by....

I had a great time with my son in Barcelona. The hotel was very nice. The location is the best. Next to the metro and in the city center. The staff is very friendly. we loved breakfast only thing: The first day there was nobody how told us what to do and we had to asked for coffee every day or else you didn't get anything

service and cleanness was very poor and was noisy to sleep. Even the room was pretty good for one person but cleaning wasn´t done properly. refil of tea bags and toilitrees wasn´t replished. Soap for the bathroom wasn´t provided. I think little more add of toiltrees would excell the service. Lotion, soap, cotton buds, tissue adding to the service wouldn´t heart. 43 euros was a lot charged and service was very poor.

we stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and it was great. the location is in the center of barcelona within walk from placa catalana and la rambla and it has a metro station right near the hotel. the food is okay but not more than that and the price us real cheap to my opinion.

Location brilliant.This hotel is within short walking distance of the Cataluña Square, from which the open topped tour buses depart, the gothic area and La Rambla. We even walked to Sagrada Famila and Gaudi´s houses and the harbour. The metro station is about 20 metres from the hotel if you can´t walk far. The only downside to the hotel was that it is in serious need of some TLC. Our bedroom was tired and the bathroom ceiling was not a pleasant sight. A faulty extractor fan and toilet flush kept waking us up but we told the receptionist when we left, so hopefully now has been fixed We would certainly stay at this hotel again.

Very friendly atmosphere and the location is great, close to the buses, Catalunya square is a two minute walk, safe area. Price is fare! Great choice!

The location of the hotel was excellent as it was very near to metro station.Unfortunately the room was very small. I t was like a cell in a jail. There was no space at all to walk comfortable. Also as an external room it was very noisy room.The breakfast was very poor and in any way it was not what i expected.

Friendly staff, the room needs soms paint, new toppings, showerleakage, the last morning the toilet was broken: didn't flush anymore and once the elevator wasn't working properly. The location was OK and even though, we had a nice weekend.

A lovely break in a nice hotel in a nice city in SPAIN. Nothing that we asked for was too much trouble for the staff. The room had a balcony overlooking the road and although it was a busy road the noise never kept us awake. what we liked best was the central location of the hotel , near buses and the underground railway. We cannot think of anything we disliked.

The rooms in Hotel Urquinaona are small. For a short trip it is clearly sufficient. Many sights can be reached afoot.

Me,my wife and two kids stayed 2 nights in Hotel Urginaona.It is best value for the money.I did some research and am pleased that i choose Urqinaona.Location is fantastic, 3 minutes only from Plaza de Catalunya and La Rambla. Hotel stuff is great and helpful, room was nice and clean and I ( very light sleeper ) slept like a baby for 2 nights, never heard a single sound.A/C worked perfectly ,breakfast was awesome, not muffins, cereals and usual's but real ciabatta extremely tasty sandwiches with ham,german salami, cheese, then fresh fruits, fresh juices and croissant.Will definitely recommend Urqinaona to everyone, location and perfect sleeping 3 minutes walking from downtown.Will always stay here when come back to Barca.Salud

The hotels location is perfect being in the city heart so you can walk everywhere, but also just 20 second from a metro station so you can also ride everywhere. The hotel staff is very friendly and there is surveilance 24/7. Breakfast was small, but very good quality: nicely prepared sandwiches, juice/coffee and croissants. The room was basic but sufficient with good airco and hardly any noise. We would go back.

This hotel was very conveniently located for us because we needed to get to the airport early in the morning and the airport bus is close by. It was nice to have a little bit of air conditioning but other than that the room was nothing special and the mattresses were lumpy.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a week, and we could not praise this hotel enough. The rooms are on the small side, but they have everything you need (including a balcony!), and both the bedroom and bathroom are decorated to a very high standard.The location of this hotel was perfect, about a five minute walk from the airport bus, right by a metro station and five minutes from la rambla. The breakfast was great, with a pretty good selection; coffee, croissants, cereal, various other pastries, and the staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly.We had no trouble with noise-our room faced over the main street, yet we both slept soundly.If we go to Barcelona again, this will definitely be the hotel we will stay at, as the price coupled with the location is unbeatable, and makes it a perfect base to explore the city.

A hotel in a excellent location, right near Placa Catalunya and so ideal for metro, aerobus and for accessing la rambla. Good staff who spoke good english and was polite and helpful, though kitchen staff at the breakfast buffet could have been more friendly as when asked for more drinks etc was very rude. Good selection to choose from for breakfast, all fresh though not much as a selection the paying customers had who were treated with better manners then hotel guests.Room was small but adequate as didnt spend much time in the hotel and does get clean daily but they do not change the sheets. The bathroom was really good for the value of the hotel, big power shower and modern. However, since on the road noisey at night, but not too bad, the worst noise however was from the elevator as our room was right next to the shaft. But that is luck of the draw!Overall, a good place to stay and is worth the value you pay, great location for anyone exploring barcelona.
