"Stay at Urban"

Second stay here, this time for business. excellent location for museums and parks. Sharp, sleek and an arty, modern feel. Evening bar a real destination. Disappointing for the price, however, with no tea/coffee facilities in the room and no iron in the room, only an exorbitant ironing service. When on a tight business schedule and a suitcase full of creased clothes, this is enough to put me off staying here again. For this calibre of hotel this and a hefty room bill, these shortcomings could easily be addressed.

Pros: I booked the hotel to take my partner on a surprise weekend to madrid. lovely bathroom with toiletries and all mod cons. the hotel is very modern which we love and everything was clean and new looking. the hotel staff can't do enough for you and gave us excellent recomendations about where to eat out etc. free glass of champagne in the bar and constant nibbles flowing. we definitely felt pampered at the urban.

"Excellent location - close to everything - sol, gran via, plaza mayoir,..."

Pros: Excellent location - close to everything - sol, gran via, plaza mayoir, prado museum, salamanca, and chueca. housekeeping was spot on, and the overall modern hotel design, atmosphere, including the roof top pool and terrace, and artworks were better than expected.
Cons: Hotel service was spotty - long waits for drink orders on the rooftop deck during the day(1hour on 2 occassions), but the evening service however, was excellent and super friendly. overall the hotel staff (doorman, receptionist) were professional, but not friendly.

For the highest standard, Hotel Urban is a wise choice, as it has 5 stars. You are not limited as there are a lot of rooms here. When you do not want to come by car, coming by public transport is easy via nearby Atocha Railway Station. Make your stay memorable, with a visit to Madrid Flower Market, Villa Square or Casa de la Villa. Buen Retiro Park is nearby. In the vicinity of this accommodation you find San Jeronimo el Real.

For dining at Hotel Urban you will be spoilt for choice as the hotel features 2 restaurants. A terrace, a cocktail lounge and a coffee shop/café are examples of the areas for all guests to access in this accommodation.
