Perfectly fine hotel that is a block from Aldgate East Tube station. Quiet, clean, comfortable, large tv channel selection. Walk to restaurants that are good and not expensive. Market nearby. Fast food if desired. Bus service nearly at the door. They can do better on price, and should.

We had a wonderful stay at City Hotel! Loved the vibrant neighborhood and the location close to the Petticoat Lane and the Spitalfield markets.

Pros: Very clean well maintained rooms, looked like had been recently refurbished and nice and modern. had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was also excellent
Cons: Only negative point was that the shower water pressure was extremely weak not sure if this was due to our room being on the 6th floor

Pros: The only positive thing was the location. it was 10-minte walk from my office. but still i didn't like the area and would not come back.

Pros: Neighbourhood looks kind of shady at first, but it really isn't. lovely area where you'll meet the true people of london. great pubs (white hart!) nearby, supermarkets, fast food, all walking distance.
