Euro Hotel London Clapham  

The room was little and the bathroom extremely little and uncomfortable. No towells enough and the last day they didn´t clean our room, the beds, didn´t change towells.......It´s the worst experience in an hotel I´ve ever had in my life!!!!!!!!!!

We did read all of the comments made on this hotel but did not expect all of them to be true. But on arrival we were given a small room which almost was impossible to get in to and the room was also deeply damaged by smoking that made the entire room smell like cigarettes, which made it impossible to breath or even sleep. The room was unlivable so we decided to ask for a new one due to the terrible smell, and uncleanness, almost fungus like with dust bunnies everywhere! When we asked for a new room they instead tried to cover the smell with some sort of spray, that of course did not work. On our first night, that also became our last night, our neighbors started to smoke just outside our door and the next morning, after a night without any sleep at all, due to the terrible bad quality on the hotel, the room and the service, we decided to switch to another hotel. Don´t get fooled with the comments saying that you get what you pay for, you don´t! You get so much less than you pay for and we would highly recommend looking for a better hotel in almost the same price range in Earl´s Court where they have lots of hotels which are much better regarding cleanliness, service and a pleasant stay. Take this comment seriously or your stay in London will be ruined.

Was quoted £42 for double room then found out £42 per person. Very dated hotel. Bathroom door hit toilet. Rubbish shower - no hot water. Room could have slept 3 people but only 3 teabags & 3 coffees left. Sockets hanging off wall, shower tray badly marked, bedside lights rusty. Hotel like maze - even went next door to lodge by mistake - very similar look & layout. Would not use again.

the only good thing was the location,and the hot water....rooms was too derty.service not excisted..for breakfast only bread and marmelade or cornflaces

We arrived at the hotel and when we were checking in, the lady at the desk told us that due to some problem with the fire alarm, we were reallocated to another brunch of their company. We thought it was the one down the road but then she said it is 30 mins away and we have to pay for the tracking fee ourselves. We are pissed and after questioning her and arguing with her, she finally gave us a room in the top floor in the hotel. The room was clean and nice. There was some problem with the shower door and it even felt of when we tried to fix it. Then we asked one of the stuffs to fix it and he just simply put it back on. Despite all that, the stay was good.

Cons: Bathroom freezing. tv reception very poor

Pros: This is very definitely a budget hotel - so don't expect 5 star treatment. the room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. the shower was very good. for the price, and for one night, it was exceptional value
Cons: Even for this price i would have expected some storage space but no drawers, not even a couple of hooks or hangers.

Pros: Bed very comfortable and best pillows i have ever had.
Cons: Room was on the very top. difficult to get suitcase up the stairs

Pros: Room was cleaned fine every day.
Cons: Breakfast was often crowded.

location ideal for our purpose.
a no frills, affordable hotel.
rooms and bedding clean.
Cons: General decor is somewhat "shabby" and needs tidying.however, for the price this was acceptable as long as the room was clean.
the bed in our room was very uncomfortable - we could feel every spring. definately needs to be replaced!

Pros: Friendly, efficient staff.
Cons: The small ground floor room i stayed in had rather an unpleasant damp/drainy smell.

Pros: Very nice district, the hotel is neat and easy to get from clapham south tube station.
Cons: Wifi connection weak at some times, very little to eat for breakfast.

Pros: The room was clean and the hotel was in a great location to where we needed to be.
Cons: The major problem with this hotel was the shower. absolutely rubbish. it's probably one of the worst showers we've ever been in which is not a good way to start your day. all it did was dribble a small amount of water.

old furniture, a little filthy

Pros: Well located just on the edge of the london underground zone 2 (cheap travel pass only covers zones 1 and 2)
Cons: I read previous reviews mentioning issues with basic ammenities not working so i went with low expectations - which they failed to meet. no hot water in the shower and only one light worked in our room. staff were completely disinterested and gave the impression they were tired of dealing with the issues. breakfast was toast and cornflakes. you might roll the dice and get a room where the ammenities work - if you do then this place would be ok for the money. good luck
