Berolina Airport Hotel Berlin  

Pros: I requested a double bed which was given to us. rooms were very clean even if in desperate need of a revamp. close to sxf airport, only 3 stops on the s9 train.
Cons: First impressions of the hotel were not great. from outside the place looks run down and is very close to a busy main road and train station. the staff, however, were very friendly and did their best to help, although their knowledge of things to do and places to eat both in the city and near by was not fabulous. the rooms were very standard which, at a price of over 200 euros for our stay, i would have imagined more. once inside the room and getting settled, we found that the curtains did not meet in the middle when trying to shut them leaving a very big gap for the bright burning sunshine to come flooding through in the morning. hotel only offered breakfast at an additional cost. beds were hard with very thin bedding, which was all that was needed in the summer. television only had german channels. school trip which arrived on monday night ruined our final night and didnt allow us much sleep before our 6.30am wake up to catch our flight. all in all i wouldnt recommend this hotel for more than 1 nights stay, definitely not for a younger couple or anyone on a romantic getaway.

Pros: Right next to an s bahn station. 15 min train ride into city center. staff was friendly though they didn't know where anything was (ie - hilter's bunker, old jewish ghettos, etc). free parkinng in the back.
