Tegens: Bij aankomst bleek appartemement onvindbaar. boeking was fout gegaan. na contact met nederland werd een ander appartement gevonden. dar duurde natuurlijk een paar uren e dat was dus wachten op straat in rome.

Cons: The staff was extremely unhelpful and basicly unavailable.
there was no information about the specific apartment, which was on the fourth floor with extremely steep steps. the staff representative rushed us up and vanished. they were not available on the phone, and when there was a contact with them, the were most unhelpful.

Pros: Excellent location, right in the thick of the old city, in charming winding streets. the apartment itself was a generous size, attractive, and clean. cheaper than a hotel room, but with all the advantages of having a separate living room, kitchen, and bedroom for our son. i would use them again in spite of the negatives.
Cons: Our particular apartment was very noisy. the windows did very little to keep the sound out, and there was a street bar immediately outside. personally i think that this is a price worth paying for the location, but others might disagree. the apartment itself was fairly functional with a few niggles... a large hole in one of the bedroom windows where an airconditioning duct had been removed, the wi-fi worked only sporadically, no batteries in the telly remote, no kettle in the kitchen, very low water pressure in the bathroom, so washing hair was a challenge. the sofas looked initially attractive under their throws, but as soon as you sat down and the throws slipped it became apparent that they were very old and worn.

Pros: Location was great. the apartment was located in piazza della rotonda (pantheon), not on via del governo vechio as promised, but still it was a top notch location.
Cons: First, the apartment we booked was not the one that was given to us. that would not have been a problem, as the location of the new apartment was even better. however, the state of the building in which the apartment was located was incredibly poor. the whole building was being remodeled and it was filthy and dangerous. tons of gravel and debris was all over, and the apartment itself was damaged. i spoke to the keyholder and even the owner about it, and all i received was mad manners and laughter, as they said "i can't believe you are complaining about the apartment, the location is much better than the 200 euros a night you paid". a pity because the location is extraordinary. i would recommend anyone to request photos of the actual aprtment you are getting, since they told me that the area is what you are booking, not the actual apartment.
